Midnight

http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=766

Midnight is a RPG/platformer with tons of replay value and is one of the most advanced games ever coded in the TI Basic language.  Featuring a dramatic storyline with numerous cutscenes, Midnight is unlike most other calculator games.  There are bosses to overcome, numerous rooms to explore, and several powerups available as you progress through the game.  I hope you have a wonderful time playing Midnight!  Download today!

Wow great to see this out shocked

I'll probably give it a try later. I should load my calc with games for when I go to my Ottawa trip on Feb 11th. Cheesy

Nice!

As it's in TI-Basic, does it work on a basic TI-83 too?

Nope, because the undocumented Text(-1,X,Y,"string" syntax from the 83+ Text(X,Y,"String" command is not compatible with the regular 82 Stats/83.

so, it could theoretically be slightly modified to use the small text and use less of the screen, right?

It would take a huge, huge modification to make this work on an 83.  Not only would the graphics have to be completely redone, but I use numerous symbols and characters that would have to be replaced.  Sorry, but I think the only way to get Midnight on an 83 would be to rewrite it from the ground up.

Just a warning, it's pretty slow on 83+s. Sad

Also smaller text might not look as great, not to mention it's much slower it seems.

I doubt the dual-layer ASCII would look so nice with small text Undecided And yeah, small-font Text() takes twice as long as the large font IIRC.

And back on topic, glad the final release is out! What you'd called your "beta" a month ago was already a really, really impressive work.
