Sounds nice, although as I mentionned in the other thread, for the game it might be best to have the exact same songs but with no beat maybe. THose versions sounds pretty nice as ambient music and stuff actually, but I mean if for example you are in game, often the music in RPGs have no beat and is kinda relaxing and stuff, like in a forest for example, and in some cases maybe the rap-style or techno-style beat might ruin the mood or make the song fit less in the game. Of course it also depends if the game is futuristic, though, in which case beat might be better.

I definitely agree.  TSOD is SCI-FI Fantasy and the music is intended to reflect that.  These beats I posted here are mostly the upbeat one but there are plenty more mild beats that are subsets of these tracks... you know like when you are walking around the map the music may be calm... then when you enter battle, the beat picks up but is actually derived from the same song.  Also, there are some levels that are more SCI-FI than fantasy... in which case the Trip/Hip Hop beat is preferred.  It amplifies the mood.

Thanks for listening! Smiley

AH I see, then I guess the beat is a good idea in some cases. I just remember for example they did a medieval movie years ago and they used rock music we hear at sports games like we will rock you. It totally didn't fit at all :X

Also for battles usually a fast beat will work pretty well, although some game battles manages to do fine with slower  beats.
