For the Omni contest we could actually post about our progress, but just not offer downloads until the deadline. For the Cemetech contest we were actually forced to create a topic about the project and download links were not allowed until judging was completed. I think the forcing people to create a topic and post occasional updates might be a good idea for next year's TI-Nspire contest on Omni, if any occurs (because almost all participants just vanished for 2 months and we didn't even know they were participating until the final day before the deadline). <_<
