It's great to be here, I've visited many times over the years but finally joined up Smiley

Lol yeah. I haven't even really used my TI-89. I bought it intending to learn 68K assembly and never really got around to it... Maybe one day!

Cool to hear. So now I know why Omni ran so slow at times.  <_<

Just kidding, do you still have any projects or updates planned in the near future by the way? If you do, feel free to let us know on the forums or IRC when you have some time. Of course there is also the occasional ASM topic here and there too from forum users. Smiley Also I recall you played in a music band, right? I myself have made a lot of music from 2002 to 2004 and restarted in 2006, but I did not post any until 2007 and most of it is software-generated rather than with actual instruments.

Haha Smiley

I've got one more update I'm working on, just a minor update to my Hangman game, which is mainly a bug fix on the TI-86 version, but also hopefully a few small optimisations.

There's probably 3-4 other projects that I've started at various times over the years that were never completed.. It would be nice to get a new game out lol, but see how I go Smiley

Yeah I'm in a band at the moment, called Belle Haven (http://www.facebook.com/bellehaven). Also I have a lot of drum covers (and a few on other instruments) on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/user/jamesv82). Working full time along with the band and other music stuff keeps me occupied these days Smiley

I see. What would be cool is a port of Banchor to the 83+ series actually Tongue (I love RPGs lol), but of course since grayscale is so different on the 83+, it would require heavy editing, not to mention the much smaller LCD.

And nice, I will have to check your stuff out on FB and Youtube.

Lol oh man, I'd love to port Banchor to 83+, it would get so much more play, seeing as by the time I actually finished it, barely anyone was using the TI-86 anymore.

The smaller screen wouldn't be a big issue, I could just redesign the maps accordingly, I don't think that would be a major issue. I've never done grayscale on the 83+, so I'd have to learn that. And then the other issue is the amount of map / other data in the game; off the top of my head, the total game size was close on 64KB on the 86 haha. It wouldn't be as much on the 83+, as the maps would be 12x8 instead of 16x8, but I'd have divide the map data into multiple files and swap the relevant files between Flash mem & RAM as necessary. No doubt this is possible... Definitely food for thought Smiley
