Hi there !

TI recently published their latest TI-NspiringTimes Newsletter, and they are giving out some extra info about OS 3.2 !

They wrote 2 pages about the already well-known "Energy-Skate-Park" activity, which deeply uses OS 3.2's Lua's Physics Engine.

You can find a animated-preview of this activity here :

If you want to know more about just the lua part, I cropped it out for you :

http://tiplanet.org/forum/download/file.php?id=198

For the other 3.2 Lua activities previews, you can find animations here :

Also, I've made a news about all this on TI-Planet :

Hmm interesting. I am curious how viable the physics engine will be in games...

/\line runner, perhaps? Big smile

this does look interesting, but i'm somewhat doubtful of how useful it would be in an actual learning environment, as these concepts are easily taught without physics simulations, and, if the instructor thinks they are needed, most schools have computers where the students could run freeware that does a much better job.

Hmm Line Runner would be awesome. I remember Deep Thought made such clone on the 83+ a few years ago, but it was never finished.

Well, I'm sure teachers will find useful educational things to be made with the physics engine, but from the community point of view, we sure will use it for awesome games Tongue

And yes, Line rider wouldn't be hard to make.

(Angry Birds has been made, so...)

Those examples look nice, but isn't the physics engine a bit (read: terribly) slow on the handheld, or am I behind schedule?
