Some of the first LCD monitors that were still 4:3, before CRTs were phased out, seemed to have some blur. I sometimes use my bro's computer and I notice a tiny trail behind the mouse cursor or in games. My old computer LCD monitor also does as well, but not as much. It might depend of the LCD quality too.

Seems as if the keyboard isn't replaceable anymore.

That is what I was discussing on IRC earlier.  I don't see any spot where it would be "possible" to remove the keypad. Sad

Ah, that's what you meant when you said maybe they were trying to phase out the 84 series. I kinda missed what you were trying to say, as IRC discussion exploded when the news/pics broke. =( They technically could still write an emulator, but it would be kinda awkward with the different keyboard layout. It's not like the community couldn't make one anyway once it becomes open to development though. Honestly i think they are just trying to seperate the product lines and let the Nspire be the Nspire and the 83+ series(IE Ti-83+ and compatibles) be the 83+ series. This also could mean a price drop for the 83+ series... would be nice anyways.

Are there any estimates on what the resolution will be or is it the same as the original nspire. Also is this 16 bit or 24 bit color

I haven't seen any info as of yet, however; I'd hazard a guess that that resolution will be the same as the current Nspire. No idea about the color, likely whatever is cheapest to mass produce.

Idk, I notice some sort of line surrounding most of it, but I don't know. I also wonder how large the calc will be... the Nspire is so huge it won't fit in my pockets...

That is a problem I suffer from also Sad
Maybe I should buy custom holsters for my calcs.

Lol nice one. Also I bet if they remove 84+ emulation that will be to justify the price not being much higher than the other Nspires despite the hardware change. Tongue

Not necessarily. We are not sure about that, but it's likely that they did.

I can't imagine how it would be to play F-Zero or Touhou on a TI-Nspire LCD shocked

Well, if the Nspire CX's screen is DSTN, it will be roughly as bad as the screen earlier Nspire models...

I don't have a CAS calculator right now and I don't like the ClassPad's touch screen either.
So, maybe I'll try the Nspire CX! Grin

Yeah I kinda agree that when it's too powerful it's not as fun to program because most of the fun is when you manage to accomplish the impossible. Examples are those 3D polygon engines on the 83+/84+, Ndless hacks or internet on the calculator. Now we need to push the TI-Nspire even further. Tongue
