Now there's like 12000 ids and only 1970 actual members still here (including permbanned accs)

When UTI merged into Cemetech db, it went from 20000 members to 1800 or something I think.

I don't think we actually have 14203 members, I think there has been 14203 member registrations, most of which failed or were removed thankfully. Good to see that the member registrations are no longer increasing exponentially otherwise we'd have something like the Axe Parser Wiki (that fixed too, and I helped a bit on that!)

They removed every member account that were bots or 0 post users. It's nothing, because in 2005, UTI removed about 8000 members too. Otherwise today UTI would have gotten about 30000 account guaranteed.

In Omni's case we got plenty of 0 post users, but most are real accounts, like the ones on Cemetech. However we had so many bots registering and getting blacklisted that it bumped IDs really high.

If we only count 1+ post users, Omnimaga currently has 962, out of 2060 members, out of 14217 registration attempts. The z9 board (April 2006 to January 2008) had 198 posting users out of 206 existing accounts, and 5081 registration attempts occured during that period. Note that the small amount of 0 post users was not only due to bot deletion over the time, but also the fact that in late 2007, our anti-spam forced new members to post twice in a special topic to be able to post anywhere else.

There's no way to check IDs on Zetaboards, because they're server-wide rather than board-specific.

I think that's a good summary overall, and the number of post ID's are useful. Also the 0 post users does refer back to my original post on the first page about all these members.

Usually people might sign up an account expecting access to new content or just to post later, but then finally never do or they find a different site.
