Well, it looks like Microsoft made their own game-making utility. Kodu game lab is really easy to use, and it's designed to make games. Even though the features are pretty limited right now, but take a look at the simple game that I made.

Interesting. I wonder what kind of stuff can be done in this... does it supports some sort of tilemaps?

Microsoft released a game maker? * Scout is surprised. Can you post the game? Let me guess, non-crossplatform games. Not too bad, though. Does it generate single .exes?

@DJ: No. You "paint" the tile.
@Scout: It doesn't generate .exe file. You upload them here:

XNA Game Studion, good enough, their C# libraries are pretty cool.

Oh, I saw this before -- it's more made for making really simple games not really meant for industry selling, since they don't make .exe files -- I guess it's more of a way to play around with game ideas and to learn about the game making process.

Ah I see. Personally I don't mind how a game is made, although for pre-made engines I kinda prefer stuff like Game Maker and RPG Maker which lets you package your game in an installable exe file.

I think this is mainly designed for shoot'em up games or something.
