No, I didnt make it myself, but I did do the apple logo Smiley

I set the desktop to show no icons and then used the folder view screenlet to get a KDE plasma-like desktop.

I'm so confused at what you meant right now.

To clarify to everybody:
Unity and Gnome 3 are two very different things. One is being developed and maintained by the people behind Ubuntu, and the other by, well the people behind Gnome 2, and 1 Tongue
Gnome Shell is the desktop manager for Gnome 3 and as far as I know it has nothing to do with Unity. Unity came into being after a dispute on the path Gnome 3 was going to take.
Correction, Unity is the TI-81 incarnation of Ndless. On a calculator forum, calc definitions of software names must have priority over their computer counterparts. Otherwise, it will encourage Texas Instruments to implement division by zero on their OSes. Tongue

Anyway my computer desktop didn't change in the past 2 years, except briefly a few weeks ago when I somehow lost my background so I changed it to AITS cover (one of my old albums), to finally change it back.

i made mine go darker when it's evening, and lighter when it gets to 12 o'clock Smiley so it gives a kind of idea of which time of the day it is, and it is useful for when it's late in the evening and your eyes aren't that light-resistant anymore..
