So, I need to know how good you feel about the game. Unfortunately, I ran into a series of problems revolving around the tilemapper, and I believe it can be solved if I restrict this game to the 15MHz calculators (83+SE, 84+, 84+SE, nSpire). My question is how well you respond to this move.

Remember. If you support option #4, I encourage you to post details on-topic to get a real feel of what you think. I know DJ Omnimaga has already posted his response, but, come on. No one can resist the urge of verifying Netham45's lobsteriness!

I don't mind 'cause I have a 15Mhz calculator. But I mind a little about other users with a 83+. But since there are emulators, if one really wants...

 In my class 90% has the 84+SE... So here isn't big problem. I don't know how about other places.

I'm kind of stuck in between, while I don't think that you should work too hard just to please us 83+ers I think that it would be nice to be able to run it on the 6Mhz as well...

nSpire supports 15Mhz mode?

ya, i get the feeling that old 83+ is slowly disappearing around here because the stores sell 84+SE for only $20 more.

SolusIpse, Nspire (non-CAS, the one that has an interchangeable keyboard), can emulate the TI-84+SE. It's advertised as a TI-84+, but in fact, it's a 84+SE. However, certain undocumented ASM code will not run on it. MirageOs, without the unnoficial patch, is one example. TI-Boy SE is another. Reuben Quest earthquake effect (using Z-Address screen shift) doesn't work.

Strangely enough, though, tr1p1ea can run a scrolling tilemapper fine on a reg 83+ and it has grayscale too. However, quality is questionable. Maybe a 83+ version should be made with lower grayscale quality? However, I don't mind if it's SE-only, as long as it works on Nspire or WabbitEmu so I can at least play it x.x

However, Netham45 is a lobster, so my vote went on 4th option instead of 3rd

I say restrict to 15MHz calcs.  The majority of calculators I see nowadays are either 83+SE, the 84 series or nSpires, which are all 15MHz.

83SE is still rare, but 83+ calcs are getting more and more rare nowadays, due to the signifiant memory/speed gain of a 84+ for not a lot more money

actually, most of the kids at my school use the 83+, not that many have 84+ and only one has a Nspire

everyone I know has a regular 84+.
they haven't sold the 83 series for years here !

don't lie, I have seen one recently in the Colruyt :p
it hangs there for about a year now tho, kinda sad, if they'd sell it for €40 I'd automaticly buy it x.x

Well, over here right now they only sell the Casio FX-9750G, TI-83+, 84+, 84+SE, TI-Nspire regular edition and TI-89. I heard that in France in some areas the TI-Nspire is barely avaliable (if avaliable at all) anymore due to poor sales and at many places, the TI-83+ seems to get less and less popular. The 83+ will mostly remain popular due to being cheaper, but many people are attracted by the faster speed and the larger memory.

I think they're getting rid of their FX-9750G too where I live because since 1.5 years they sell them for $25

FX-9750G is the equivalent of the older Color Screen Casio calcs, but with no color and 28 KB of RAM instead of 32

Nope. Unless maybe someone would figure out how to hack it like the TI-82, 85, 92 II and 73 to send a shell/kernel to it to run ASM programs. So far, the only Casio calcs with built in ASM support are the Algebra FX, FX-9860G and Classpad 300, and even then, you cannot use ASM programs inside BASIC games, as there are no "Asm(" or "Send(9" command like the TI-83 series
