So on July 11th, I met AaroneusTheGreat in person.

Contrary to what some people might think, when I left Omnimaga a few weeks ago, something good actually happened the weekend after (not related). I think this event might have helped me a bit feeling better at the time, as I have been waiting for this for a long while. On July 11th, I actually met AaroneusTheGreat (from TI-Freakware and Revsoft) in person, about 3-4 miles North of where I live. over 1 year ago, his french class started planning a trip in a french speaking area. At first, it was gonna be France, but they were unsure, due to the travel costs, so Montréal, Québec, Canada, became an option. Finally, last Summer, Aaron told me it would be Montréal. Then he said during weekends they would be allowed to do what they want or almost, so he could do a small trip in Quebec city, where it would be the easiest place where we could meet. I didn't knew the exact date, but when he left for MTL earlier this month, we started planning via AIM chat, and eventually set a meeting point in the upper part of Old Quebec City. Unfortunately since this month began, I had a very demanding work schedule and my vacations were starting the day his french class trip was ending (today), so we could only meet late during Saturday July 11th evening. However we still got able to meet during 3 and half an hour and it was amazing. I was a bit surprised because I haven't spoken english during more than 30 seconds for over 4 years prior that and I still managed to do well after a while, and his french was extremly good, so much that despite having planned to speak our native languages, as he understands french well and I understand english relatively well, we ended up doing the opposite during almost the entire time. He was speaking french and I was speaking english most of the time. For a while, we talked about calculators, obviously Big smile

. In our case, he was talking about DOA (see TI-Freakware) latest progress, and I talked about what remained to be done in Illusiat. He forgot his TI-89 in Montreal but I brought my old TI-83+ and he got the first person (besides my bro) to see one of my calc project in action directly in person in over 6 years. The last people to have seen one of my game under developpement in action directly on the calc it's being worked on were back in my hi school days, when I was working on The Reign Of Legends 2.

But yeah it was amazing. I wish I had my work vacations sooner or that the trip occured two weeks later, I would probably have got to meet him during weekend, but yeah, life is life, and it was still cool, as I never met anyone from the internet in real life before.

And contrary to what people must think after reading this, I didn't rickroll aaroneusthegreat during this meeting. Tongue

Hopefully maybe one day I'll get enough money and vacations to do a trip to the South and/or the West to meet more people. Cheesy
