Ich lese gerade das Buch Alex Rider: Scorpia rising (Buch neun) von Anthony Horrowitzt
Das buch gibt es bisher nur in Englisch.

Im Buch 5 kommt es vor, dass jemand sich klont, und den Klon dann mittels OPs so aussehen lässt wie Alex Rider.

In buch 9:
Alex wurde von dem Klon entführt:

Alex followed his doppelgänger in a long, narrow building set right next to one of the walls.





Meine Frage ist, ob es das Word auch im Englischen gibt, weil kein übersetzer erkennt es aks englisches word.

(ist Anthony Horrowitz ein Deutscher, der behauptet Engländer zu sein, oder wieso ist das Deutsch?)

'Doppelgänger' wird tatsächlich manchmal als englisches Wort benutzt (oft wird es auch als 'Doppelganger' geschrieben), ähnlich wie 'Kindergarten'. Es gibt eine ganze Reihe solcher Wörter: Liste deutscher Wörter im Englischen

Ja, das benutzt man oft, um eine Persone, die wie eine andere aussieht, zu beschreiben. Aber ich habe es immer "Doppelganger" (ohne Umlaut, wie defmenge vermerkt hat) geschrieben.

Englisch ist eine germanische Sprache, aber viele Wörter wurden aus Französisch genommen. Englisch ist wie eine Mischung aus Deutsch und Französisch. Es ist mir (viel) leichter Französisch zu lesen als Deutsch zu lesen, ich glaube, es gibt mehr französische Wörter als deutsche in Englisch.

Ich habe das aber nie gesehen/gehört (Alex demanded him if), "demand" ist für mich etwas stärker, "réclamer" auf Französisch, weiss nicht, wie man es auf Deutsch sagt.
