Yes. I recognized it even without being a fan of MCOG because I often put the TV on without watching when I am alone, and I hear the music of the opening :)

The new series looks quite nice. I wonder if Ocean group (based in Vancouver) will do an english dub of this?
In regards to the original music, it was composed by <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shuki_Levy>Shuki Levy</a>. He's pretty well know for his work in the 80's and especially <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inspector_Gadget>Inspector Gadget</a>. I agree that his music is quite nice and distinctive. It would be nice to hear him contribute to the new series, but at a glance it looks as though he hasn't done anything recently.
