-
*Bump*
Anyone please? :D
-
I'm a horrible spriter, but here's a shot at the demon (He has a double-headed axe).
-
Hey Yeong, what are/were these for anyway?
-
Godzilla? :) sorry it's a little big. I couldn't get it much smaller with that detail :P
-
Wow, saintrunner, that looks amazing!! :D You are awesome at pixel art.
-
Thanks :)

O.o o.O It looks nice XD
However, what I need is the monster facing left. Also, I want the monsters to be comical looking. :D
Now anyone up for making imp/blob? :D
-
I could, but I won't be able to get it to you for a few days (I'm busy with other sprite work :P )
-
here's a 'blob'. As you can tell, my pixel art leaves something to be desired (especially the second frame :P)
-
Thats not bad :) I'd say just make him a tad less triangular then have more of an 'implode' in the second frame and you've got it!

I guess I just have low self-esteem :P

I made a few minor changes to your blob, turiqwalrus, I hope you don't mind :P I'm O.C.D. about minor issues like this and I don't know if yours or mine is better lol. I did really like yours though! ;D
(Please nobody up-rate this post if you do like the changes because it is ALL turiqwalrus work, not mine in any way)
-
cool, thanks!
-
Sure thing:) you really did do a great job by the way!
-
Thanks for the sprite. :D
now time for mutate the sprite to make multiple of variation... >:D

What kind of animals do you need?
-

-
Sorry for he double post:
here's a bear, tell me what you think
-
Godzilla? :) sorry it's a little big. I couldn't get it much smaller with that detail :P
Might I request what that is ripped/scaled down/grayscaled from? Unless you made a bigger version yourself, and then scaled down your own sprite, you really should give credit to the original author that you edited it from. It's really frowned upon in the spriting/tiling community when you rip sprites and give no credit; ripping sprites, with credit, however is considered totally fine.
EDIT:
For a major thing that made me convinced this is ripped, or at least, scaled down by a major scale from a sprite of something at least 96*128, is the amount of grayscale shades in it; there's well over a hundred, from my painstaking color-replace count, which is a sure sign of this. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course, and you can claim it for your own.
-
A friend of mine made the original, he doesn't care for credit, and so it's all cool. It was a joke of a post anyways, trust me I know to give credit. And the shades are from jpeg compression to add texture.
edit: and so you know if you look at any of my sprites, I use Jpeg compression all the time to get the color effects....I don't rip people off, as I have had that done to myself and I was VERY angry!

I understand that, I myself have gotten rather angry many times at the hands of sprite thieves, which is why I make sure challenge anything that doesn't look like original work, even if the original author potentially might not care. As for a note of jpeg compression, I don't suggest it -- extra colors added during the compression process usually retract from the intended effect of a sprite; and honestly, with most sprites, I can genuinely say that usually 16 colors is a good number of colors for a large colored sprite; 32 colors is actually what many professional spritists go with today as a standard, as you can get some really nice effects from that. Over that, from what I've seen, is really overkill. I suggest you change to PNG compression.
-
I've used that too, depends on my mood really. And again I state, the godzilla was a joke, and not at all what TBO, I believe, was looking for.
And I totally understand why you are challenging sprites, as it is good, considering quite a few people do copy and it is very sad :P
