i need a 55 pixel wide by 8 pixel tall logo for my IDE (http://ourl.ca/7953/142807). it can be anything you want, really. i don't currently have a name for the IDE i'm working on (just Nemo's IDE for now), so put whatever text inside the logo that you'd like. thanks!

I don't know why, but when you said "any text" (since you don't have a name for the program), the word "TERMINATOR" came to mind

Well, change the text to "My IDE" and there you go, simple but practical and easy to read.

nothing in particular. any font is fine. the only requirements are:
- 55 wide by 8 tall pixels
- Black and White as the title says
- in some way translates a theme, whether through text or a picture.
basically something aesthetically pleasing. it may have any title you want. it could say "Phoenix" because you want the IDE to be named phoenix. and if your logo looks really good i'll probably end up calling it Phoenix and crediting the name and logo to you. if it's just a box with some letters, well, i could make that myself, so i probably won't use it.

here you go: basilisk IDE, in 3 level gray. Change the letters to white if you don't want gray. Oh, and if you like it, please undo that -1 respect that came earlier :P

haha, very creative. gosh, wherever did you come up with the title phoenix? ;) you call yourself artistically challenged but i kind of like it. i might invert the colors though. thanks runer!

lol, i've been trying to think of words ending in IDE all day but couldn't come up with a single plausible one! i like that though.

Umm, also another someone wanted to make a point and be a total dick -- they also gave me a thumbs down. I guess you could just give it a thumbs up...?
I mean, that really didn't deserve any disrepect. It was a joke, and then I actually gave a decent icon after that too. (to whoever those dicks are out there)
Your post contained content that definitely could have been offensive to others, and that is the purpose of the thumbs down button. It's there to allow users to flag posts made in poor taste to show the person who posted them that what they posted was offensive, and to hopefully signal to the offending user to avoid posts like that in the future. Not only does your post contain offensive language, but it mocks the original poster by answering his request with an image that you knowingly made such that he could not possibly use it. Posts like that should either be posted in Randomness or not posted at all.
And I don't think calling anyone who thumbed your post down "dicks" helps anything. They have every right to thumb down content they find offensive, and throwing in more offensive comments is not the way to remedy the situation.

i like GUIDE as well but i'm unsure how to capitalize it, lol. i'm thinking GuIDE. meanwhile, i made one for SubsIDE.
i know it's 57 by 10 but that's because the border is black, which is what it will be on calculator so i just wanted to preview it with the black border.

i'm curious.. how many of these are from biology and chemistry sites? seriously, i recognize at least 1/5 of these as terms from biology. (monosaccharide, polysaccharide, triglyceride, polypeptide...)
here are the ones i'm pulling from that, in order i like:
Seas IDE
Ox IDE
Roads IDE
Sn IDE. (for the chemists)
or, just to mislead everyone, C IDE. (like seaside, but abbreviated so that every C/C++/C# programmer will be furious.)

This. Warning sent to ASHBAD too. I wonder what happened today since normally he is nice. Also people try to be careful when doing jokes that may be offensive. It's obvious such joke will be misinterpreted by many people.
Anyway, the logos I'm seeing in this thread are amazing, especially the second one by ASHBAD_ALVIN (the first one which he deleted was ok, except what the text said, of course).

Well some of these are textless so you can flip them some of them you can probably change/fix to make them 55x8.

i'm not sure, but i think i'm going to use either my SeasIDE, SubsIDE or Raylin's SubsIDE
