Title: DJ's original album artworks (high quality)
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on September 01, 2014, 12:09:16 am
As you are probably unaware due to the fact only my albums made since 2011 are available on Bandcamp, I actually released many albums beforehand, but none ever got for sale except a short-lived attempt with an happy hardcore compilation (the site that let me sell music for free didn't even work). This would be the chronology of my releases (some extra info is available at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aq6FkghT6iTtdHZwaGFXLTU2SXpvV0dURHJzZV9qV1E&hl=en_US#gid=0 except the oldest and newest albums):

2003: Omnidance 1
2003: Omnidance 2
2004: Omnidance 3 (CANCELED)
2007: Epic Journey Through the Galaxy
2007: Dark Side of the Moon (re-released as Journey through the Moon Dark Side)
2007: Enter the Dream World
2007: Hardcore Armageddon
2007: Angel In the Stars
2008: It's the End of Time
2008: Destiny Knight
2009: Magic Hardcore (CANCELED)
2011: Tales of the Knight of the Moon
2012: A Decade of Magic Hardcore (2002-2012)
2012: A Decade of Omnidance (2002-12)
2013: Ancient Kingdom of Omnimaga
2014: Unfinished (Single)
2014: Ancient Kingdom of Omnimaga Special Edition (The last two combined together)

Unfortunately, in 2007 I lost half of the album cover artwork files I had except for low quality GIFs at lower resolution. The first 5 albums are the ones affected. Luckily, however, back in the day I printed cheap jackets for CD covers and back covers using the high quality image files, so now I have decided to scan them then filter them so that higher quality versions of my old album covers can once again be seen! Keep in mind that for the Destiny Knight and canceled Magic Hardcore albums, there was never a back cover made for it. The first images won't be as good as the 2007-08 files, but at least they will be much better than the 350x350 (or worse) GIF files I had.

There are obviously no original covers for the Omnidance albums, as they used recordable cassettes and I had no computer back then to create cassette artwork.

Thanks. :D Actually if I go back in my old album creations, I would say that the Angels in the Star one was my favorite back then. I even considered re-using it for a power metal album but this could cause confusion considering my Youtube songs use the old albums.

I wanted a CD label for Enter the Dream World, so I used GIMP to force the front album art into a CD shape, and DJ asked me to share it here:

Also thanks for sharing those DJ, I like them and am printing a few CDs of them.

Looks quite nice actually aside from some of the blurred text. I'm not too fond of the pink/white/blue tower being that diagonal, though but I guess it does the job for a CD label :P

Yeah, having the tower-thingy being not diagonal would be nice, but I can't think of a way to do it besides having the original background, original transparent album name, and original transparent artist name, and placing them on centered.

EDIT: Went ahead and put together a CD art with straightened colorful tower-thingy. It's a basic crop of the original background, the moon-thingy is gone, the artist is low-res, and there's some whatever-you-call-the-light-bits-around-an-object (aliasing?) on the album name, but there it is anyways, it was fast to make:

Actually that looks nice although I think the text at the bottom is too large and dark.
