Post by: kindermoumoute on October 12, 2010, 02:43:27 pm
I'm doing a tutorial on Axe Parser (in French), I need 50 * 50 image to illustrate my chapters. You can put colours or not, as you want. I ask just you surprise me ;D.

An on-calculator tutorial?  That'd be really cool! ;D  Too bad I can't read French...  Here's a little something I just made.  Is this sort of what you're looking for?  I tried to keep it pretty minimalistic.

You might want to change the English "Conditionals" to the French "Conditionnel."

Feel free to correct my French if that isn't the correct form.

Pretty image! but that's not "Conditionals", but "Conditions" in French (gtranslate is bad Qwerty.55 ^^).

Oops, sorry! :-[
I didn't even think about that!  In fact, I had to redesign the logo to cram "conditionals" in there.  "Conditions" would've made my job easier...
Anyway, here's a fixed version.

I added a request with theme "my first program".

So I consider that the image "conditions" meets the criteria. It remains :
Loops
My first program

From what I notice, I am sure they are right. However, in case it is not the case, maybe Kindermoumoute can confirm if he meant "boucles" and "mon premier programme"

That looks nice :D. I wonder if he wants everything to look like the first posted image, though? That said, with your image at least it's much easier to fit text.

matthias1992, that looks good. :)  What's really scary is that I was thinking about using blocks with letters on them for this title too!  :o
That looks nice :D. I wonder if he wants everything to look like the first posted image, though?
That's what I was sort of thinking too.  If that's the case, anyone's free to use/modify/improve the template I made for this title.

That one looks nice as well. I guess it will be hard for Kindermoumoute to decide ;D
Title: Re: Image 50*50 : Axe Parser Tutorial
Post by: kindermoumoute on October 14, 2010, 05:34:03 pm
Sorry matthias1992, I think your pretty picture, but the Empyreal is more original I think.
Thank you both for helping me.

I add a request for an image 50 * 50 (always) on "variables and calculations" (in French "variables et calcules")
And I'm looking for pictures for the loops (in French "Les boucles").

Link to see advancement : http://ourl.ca/7374/126433

PS : You can color images, this is not a problem. But if the black and white seems to you more in the theme, draw in black and white. The text is not necessary, yet made the way you want. You are free to impress me  ;D

Now i ask 3 images 50*50 :
1st theme on "variables and calculations" (in French "variables et calcules").
2nd theme on the loops (in French "Les boucles").
3rd theme on pointer ("Pointeurs" in French).

Just wondering, because every time I see this topic I wonder... why 50x50? It might just be how the interface is set up that allows for a 50x50 space for this, but it bugs my semi-OCD side that the X value isn't a multiple of 8 :P
Title: Re: Image 50*50 : Axe Parser Tutorial
Post by: kindermoumoute on October 16, 2010, 07:12:52 pm
50 * 50 format as it is imposed on the site of zero (http://www.siteduzero.com/) for images of the chapters (exemple here (http://www.siteduzero.com/tutoriel-3-14189-apprenez-a-programmer-en-c.html#part_14188)).
Title: Re: Image 50*50 : Axe Parser Tutorial
Post by: Runer112 on October 16, 2010, 08:53:51 pm
Well just because some internet site uses 50x50 images, it doesn't mean you have to for a calculator guide :P

EDIT: OOHHHHHHHH, this is going to be a guide for that site? That makes 100 times more sense now.

that look really good!  I'm going to assume this is for loops?
btw, how did you get it to look so natural?  (the swirl, I mean)
Title: Re: Image 50*50 : Axe Parser Tutorial
Post by: Empyreal on October 16, 2010, 09:08:00 pm
Runer112, I believe kindermoumoute intends to make an online tutorial.  When I heard the resolution was to be 50x50, I assumed that the tutorial was on-calc.
However with what was just said and this quote:
Quote
You can color images, this is not a problem.
I see this is probably not the case.

Anyway, nice image runer112.  Maybe as a community we can make a reader for chapter books like this?  As long as we've come this far with black and white, I figure we might as well! ;D  This may be a discussion for another thread.

I used the Photoshop for people who don't want to fork over almost a thousand dollars (or any dollars, for that matter) for a piece of software: GIMP.

I like your image Runer112 :)

And yeah GIMP can be great. I personally don't like it as much, though, although I prefer it to the Windows version of Photoshop. (I prefer Photoshop for Mac or Photofiltre Studio for Windows)

I found a image for "variables et calcules" (http://www.siteduzero.com/uploads/fr/icones/333001_334000/333214.png) by jacques.

But know I need 2 new image 50*50 :
1st theme : The getKey ("Le getKey" in french).
2nd theme : Exercice, work practice ("TP" in french)

without forget :
3rd theme : Pointer ("Les pointeurs" in french)
4th theme : Data ("Data" in french too)

Thanks

Good idea, but not very expressive for a total beginner. The same image easier (bigger why not) would be good.

Wow that's really awesome. I checked the tutorial so far and it looks great and pretty in depth so far. Are you planning to put a copy in the downloads section here too when it's done? It would be a great addition for the french people who visit Omni. Maybe Quigibo could actually link to it in his doc too.

A course on the site of zero is normally only online, so I'll put an off-line version is only for you to be aware of the progress. When he is online, an offline version would not make sense.

PS : If my course is popular, it can even be published in book with the help of the sit zero.
Title: Re: Image 50*50 : Axe Parser Tutorial
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on October 31, 2010, 02:33:37 pm
AH ok, I just thought it would kinda be unfair for Omnimaga and the TI community, especially TI-BANK, since it's the largest french TI site, if this tutorial was exclusive to another site, because Axe is almost an Omnimaga program, after all. :/ Kinda suck to dillute the TI community content, IMHO.
Title: Re: Image 50*50 : Axe Parser Tutorial

Post by: kindermoumoute on October 31, 2010, 02:43:09 pm
The site of zero is a reference (French) in courses ranging from computer (one math section will also appear). The tutorial is difficult to reuse on other sites, but if we can also host it on omnimaga, why not?
Anyway, I would not fail to remind the forum omnimaga during the tutorial ;)

PS: I can also add a small chapter on the history of Axe Parser, but apart that it just from omnimaga, and Quigibo is the creator, I have no idea where it comes (who participates ? in what context ? etc.)  :-\

Aah ok. As for the history of Axe parser that's pretty much it. I could maybe write a summary of how it started but it would be short. Quigibo is the main developer and people around here, Cemetech and #ti helped him.

So, update :
1st theme ==> Main image of the tutorial, an image representing the Axe Parser. Here I ask colours.
2nd theme ==> Exercise is to create a game that shows a random number that falls from top to bottom of the screen, this theme is in screenshot : (http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/2491/sdztp1.gif)

Ah yeah I remember that game now. Will there be more in the future or will that be one game you make accross the entire tutorial?

PS : trop long à convertir en anglais. ^^

Ah cool :D

(He says that in the game you must pick the zeros like sprites by walking on them and once they're all acquired a path opens, leading to the next level where you do the same thing, but then the next path leads to the chess game you lost. It's like the first project people will be working on during reading the entire tutorial, but he encourages them to draw their own sprites and stuff or even walking engine and levels to practice.)
