this is awesome, was it all drawn in painting softwares or in a 3D software?

it was done in gimp 2.6 with a digitablet, and its still a work in progress.

I may use it as part of a bg for my games, or just make it look better as it was a good practice piece.

I always enjoy your artwork. Getting better with the digital pad? or did you do this one with the mouse? (It's scary how good some people can draw with just a mouse...)

I used the digipad.  Non variable pressure sucks for shading things.

This would be used on a sticker for a game token if I decide I like it. (not the picture necessary, but the border and all) Any thoughts?
