It isn't all gonna be ascii, I am hoping to implement battles with Pokemon 16x16 graphics, and I already have some of the NPCs as 16x16 graphics...

The original sprites are 56x56 (when stored on-calc). I already have RB and Y versions of the sprites converted to 40x40 for my uses. I just need to figure out why they corrupt after a certain point...

Okay, I've fixed the stupid corruption problem, but they look all ugly and such. Does anyone feel like going through PokeModr to touch up the sprites I have? I'll send the latest build and the sprite file with it if anyone feels up to the challenge. It can be done with either a real calc or an emulator (if you have a way to get the file back off the emulator). Or these sprites could be converted to 40x40 better than I've already made them. I need both versions (RB and Y separately). You will get credit and the early version of PokeModr .6 with which to do the editing.
