If anyone has any random sprites they found or aren't using please post them here. Then people can use them if they need them.

I'm not seeing the attitude in the post here.
Please point it out.

EDIT: I'm not bashing his sprites or anything of the sort. I simply suggested that he should dither some of his sprites.

First one, a slime, one of the coolest guys from the Dragon Quest/Warrior series. ;)

Btw this image is almost 9 years old. I made it on Sept 1st 2001. I decided to start using it as my avatar back in Sept 1st 2007 (or maybe it was 2006?) for nostalgia purposes :D

That plus I really didn't feel like optimizing it a whole lot, but it's an App so it's the same size no matter what anyway. :)

Well, wabbitemu doesn't like it when I try to export the App, so I'll just give you the source.
Just make sure you compile it in Axe 3.2 as a App. Enjoy! ;D
(oh yeah, you are gonna need basically all of your RAM for this. Program is 12665 and you need Pics 0-7 open.)

Once you compile it, you can delete all the Pics and the source so that they don't take up any space.

EDIT: I just pulled a screenshot of the first cave. Are you talking about the actual square tiles or the background tiles?

EDIT2:I just grabbed a small chunk of tiles and worked with it. It's weird, it seems that these tiles have a 5 color palette. If you want, I can probably try and dither the 5th color, but then that would take much longer to do all the tiles.

EDIT3: Had a little extra time so I felt like making a little mockup screen for Cavestory. YES ;D

The mockup was just for Tribal to see what it might look like in 16x16 grayscale. The game would be much better as 8x8 as detail isn't too important for the tiles in Cave Story anyway.

EDIT:Done! I included the mockup, as well as a modified background so you can see the detail in the sprites better. ;D

Also in case somebody wanted to make an xLIB 84C demo one day, I was bored and made this GIF using the palette that tr1p1ea posted (I just shrank it down). Of course with xLIB you are stuck with 160x120, though, so you might have to manually set 320x240 mode then use scanline mode to superpose two set of sprites to generate this (with one set being down 1 pixel). That's assuming, of course, that scanline support will come in the final version.

Also AOC looks nice, but yeah I think all non DJ sprites and graphics posts (including the ones in page 1 through 6) should maybe be split in their own thread lol and I should maybe rename it to sprites by DJ, to avoid confusion.

a thing about your gif, though: it doesn't make any sense for the slime's body to snap up at its apex there and then drop back down. it would either stay down the whole time or snap up on the way down and stay up until it lands.

For the Tunnel game, I had about 16x210 worth of material to display every frame, but with Super Sonic Ball, I would have at least 7 8x8 sprites to draw every frame, which means 8x112 worth of stuff. Sprite chaining is possible, though.

The Tunnel game ran at 4-5 FPS btw. A Super Sonic Ball CSE done the current xLIBC way would have no parallax scrolling nor animated sprites (except the ball). Even in pure ASM it would still lack parallax scrolling. An xLIBC version would also be 8 KB larger because of the sprite data and it would need an extra 9 KB of RAM to run because of the list in which levels are stored (I don't think xLIB vars supports 999 values).

this game is going to need an insane amount of sprites for the movesets of each character, and right now I think I only barely have an eighth of the character sprites.

and that's not counting the map tiles, GUI, etc...
so really, if anyone is interested at all in this project, I'd happily accept some help (especially for animation because I lack any kind of animation skills or software besides gimp)

this game is right behind my minesweeper in the great big queue of projects to complete, so as soon as I'm happy with my minesweeper, on we go with this madness.

these are sprites for a fighting game I've been trying to work on during my highschool years.
now that I'm in college, I have some actual time to work on it, so expect to see more of these.

making mockup animations is a pain, and I've got a whole bunch of sprites that still need to be animated.

That's a nice drawing but I have a detail you should revise : i you look closely, it doesn't have any width at some point in your arm. It's like his arm was thin at some point. BUt the rest is fine, fun and well drawn (I love the dithering effect on the top, it gives to the puppet a nice meshed look)

Yup, I need sprites in 16x16 size, .png format.
Here are the main things I still need (In order of importance)
Houses (Multiple building tiles, see the most recent posts here: http://www.omnimaga.org/pixel-art-and-drawing/rpg-for-nspire-sprites/15/ )
Trees (2x2, 3x2, 3x2 or 3x3, what ever works best for you) Something like the trees from GBC Legend of Zelda, but not exactly the same
Chests: Open and closed

You can check out the art in the thread I linked ^ for style. Note the dull browns and greens, with a kind of LoZ/Final Fantasy Art.
