Hi, I would like a Treasure Chest for use in one of my projects. I can not seem to be able to make it look right, so I've turned to you guys. Rest assured that you'll have credit in the readme if I use your sprite. :)
Criteria:
Viewed from the side (2d)
The height of the bottom of the chest is 6 pixels
The width of the chest is between 7 and 12 pixels.
The height of the lid looks right proportionally to the bottom of the chest.
The chest bottom is just a square, but the lid is like the letter D with the curves facing up.
Once I get a good sprite, I will also need it being animated all the way up to a 90 degree angle. In other words, I also need a smooth animation of it opening.
Thanks! I know you're all better spriters than I am and I can't wait to see how this looks. ;D
-
do you want it empty?
-
Yes, I'd like it empty. :)
That's a great sprite, but I need it from the side perspective, kind of like this:
.-----.
:.......:
........: <- Hinged there

Sorry if I didn't explain it well enough. :-\
-
hows this?
-
No, sorry again. * ZTrumpet finds a pic from the correct angle:

Edit: Note that I do not want it to have any depth; only 2 dimensions. :)

Oh, sorry. Just plain black and white, please. :)

if he's looking for smooth animation, i doubt it's a BASIC game.. which leaves ping and blox?
-
or maybe the secret axe project :P I'll see what i can do

It's for one of these two... ;D
Oh, and yes. they're both still active. :D
-
But if it's Elmgon, I thought Elmgon was just dual-layer ASCII? ???
-
Then it's probably for a cut scene for one of them... ;D
-
i'd like to hope its exodus, but i doubt it

Ah, right :P
-
Here we go :D I included several different styles but the basic template is there and free to change. Let me know if you need any style or size changes.
-
Oooh, thanks! I like the second one and will probably end up using it. :)
If anyone wants, they can post more ideas. Every sprite provides more diversity and I'll consider them all. :)
Thanks Builderboy! ;D
-
:o I got ninja'd before I could even post. I had the sprites done for my attempt, I was just making a fancy animated GIF so you could see how well they animated.
-
That's... ...so... smooth. Wow. Thank you. I'm not sure which I will be using, but it is likely that it will be a combination of the two. Thanks Runer. ;D
-
WOw they're all nice :D

yeah, I know, its a lot, but fell free to take some out if too much. ;)
-
Thanks yunhua. I'm not sure which one I'm going to end up with; I think I need to get back to coding. :)
-
lol, yeah. I like Builderboy's second one but with the cover done like the chest. look more real. ;)
-
dang, those are all wonderfully smooth
-
In yunhua version, I would just remove the small tip at the end of the 2nd frame. Otherwise, looks great too :)
