Title: Weee! Coloring!

I feel young again...

Out of boredom, (while recovering from surgery) I decided to start coloring a few MegaTokyo (http://www.megatokyo.com/) comics.

Only have one in the works right now... but I'm enjoying myself and thought I'd start updating you all with what's going on.

Taking a break from the first coloring to do a quick one that matches EXACTLY how I've been feeling.

(Oh, and she is Piro's conscience and she's standing on his head, hence the "blonde ground".)

Yeah... I know... the hair... I fiddled with it too long, IMO.
Oh... and I just noticed that I rushed the background. Sowwy... I might fix it soon-ish.
(Total coloring time: ~40 minutes... freakin' hair...)

It's my first time ever doing anything like this either...
I just randomly had an urge to do something 'artistic' and I can't draw very well... (plus I am addicted to MegaTokyo) so I decided to do some coloring. =D

Not her mouth. More of a 'cheek paint', kinda like indian war paint in a way.
Her mouth doesn't exist in that picture. =P

Well, I have more progress on the first one... but I'm not happy with it... >_<

Also, I've actually started working on Nyaar again so I'm not coloring near as much.

I've stopped coloring for coding recently... I'll definitely pick this stuff up later though.

Also... need to work on getting rid of these damn viruses. >_<

I hope you can get the virus issue resolved soon x.x, these are annoying as hell, especially when they slow down your computer or internet a lot.

As for the virus problem... had to reinstall Windows.
I saved all my important data though so no problem.
Just need to reinstall my games and other programs.

On that note... I'll continue working on my website today.

I am thinking about sharing some pictures of my two old comic books I created between 2000 and 2001, however my drawing skills were pretty bad compared to many stuff I saw on the internet and they were hand made, with color pencils and crappy pen, crappy paper quality and I taped all sheets together in a quite rubbish way x.x

This was before I got my first calculator. I was never much involved into drawing before. I just did these comics because I wanted to create some sort of RPG but had no way to program, since I still didn,t have a calc or a computer at home. Someone got the idea of making a Dungeon & Dragons style game book, but in comic form instead of mostly text. He was MUCH better than me. However, he stopped working on his book quickly :S

Some people actually saw some of my drawings on IRC, though, but they were mostly the best pictures. I also used one other drawing from these comics about 4 years ago as my Omnimaga forum avatar, altough picture quality was bad, since I just had a webcam, not a scanner/digital cam

well the comic isn't really funny, altough there are some stupid parts, since it's more meant to be a book-based RPG than an actual comic. It's even not linear, you have to do 6 things and you can do them in any order (altough the later ones have much harder enemies)

I thought many times about making some sort of point and click RPG based on this game on PC before, though. The entire game would use graphics from the comic

-.- no as I said it's a comic based rpg. I could render some 96x64 pics in monochrome, altough it would take ridiculously long to edit so it looks good, so I would rather do it for the PC. On calc I would have to do a totally different game.

Actually there aren't really many tutorials on it if you get on irc sometimes nitacku will be on there and he really knows about grayscale. This post has some on it though.http://ourl.ca/3125

We have about 4 grayscale packages on Omnimga, altough some are pretty dated. But I'm not planning to do a calc version of this anwyay. 300-400 pics would take way too much memory and time to convert, even more memory in grayscale. I would rather just convert it to a point and click game and use the original images or just keep it as a cartoon. If I decided to upload the entire two comics it would take a while anyway to just scan all 190 pages

So... I did some coloring again. Was a project for my Video Tech class while we get the new computers up and running.
I like this one the best so far.

Actually, that's one of my issues at the moment... my mom pays the hosting and it's down suddenly.
To add to that I can't get a hold of her anymore so I have no idea what's going on with her anymore.

For all I know she could be dead. =/

Mhmm I hope nothing wrong happened. I doubt something too bad tho, maybe she just could no longer afford it for now x.x.

In any case, I could always give you webspace, though. I have like 18 databases left, use only 35 GB of my monthly 1200 GB bandwidth and still have about 100 GB free. I gave Speler some last year, but he never used it, though. I hope you didn't lose data, though x.x

I can't draw all too well either and I have no idea why I'm any good at coloring.

I haven't been very artsy until earlier this year.

I only really colored stuff by hand really and wasn't that great to hide all white spots. I never really attempted much PC images colouring yet. The only time I tried was Reuben Quest character. I am not great at drawing either, at least, compared to many stuff I saw in books and online
