Hi, I'm lousy at drawing, and I wonder if anyone would be able to give me a worm in 8x8 (the famous game worms armageddon)

In black and white of course ^^

Rough guess in CalcGS, it can be improved but it might be a start?

an 8x9 alternative could be better, because 1 pixel taller would make the worms look more like you see in all the worms games.

Well if your planning on doing this in Axe I think the 8x8 is the best way to go because I think other sprite sizes are harder to use, correct? I haven't heard or read anything about other sprite sizes being supported or easily done (then again I have no clue really).

I'd stick with 8*8, as that's the easiest in Axe. :D

8x16 would be fine, same for 16x8 (you don't have to use all of that space), but remember you will need to use two sprites to display your worm if you use such dimensions

Sadly, most of our pixel artists are very busy right now (or left) so it may take between 1 and 12 weeks before your request is answered :(

I started modifying Tr1ps original worm and then went from there. I added a rocket pack and then a jumping sprite. I'll mess around with the bazooka in a bit. Did you want grayscale in any of them or just stick with b&w?

Well the bazooka is still being worked out but I thought I could show you the detail I could get with grayscale...so I made grayscale versions of all the previous sprites. The jetpack sprite has been altered from before but pretty similar. I scaled everything up so you could see them better.

Sweet! I loved the worms games! Never played the 84+ version, but the 86 version was ok. It would have been better with actual physics. (it just had the worms drop if the land below them was destroyed) This one looks awesome though!

hmm, will it support multiplayer? it doesn't necessarily need linking to do so, hotseat style works too.

Looks nice. I actually don't mind the sheep, because to me it looks quite like one per 8x8 standards. :)

Lol :P
I put my sprites ar the same positions on the grid as in the original sheet (this is why I have blank (well grey in fact) spaces everywhere) so comparing is easy ;)

(nope, I found it here (http://www.pokepedia.fr/index.php/Absol). I was looking for a way to catch Celebi (with gbc4nspire :P), found that website and noticed the little sprites, so I stole the Absol one :))

In fact, I put them in grey squares so we were able to see each sprite separately better ;)
