Does Axe can only play mono sound, or does it support stereo if you program it right?

I think so, but you should ask Quigibo for details

Single notes with the Freq( command, but if you use ASM you can get nice combos.

I think he's talking about mono/stereo as in left/right balance. Unfortunately to have stereo output there need to be separate frequencies being sent to two separate places (one for the right and one for the left). The calculator can only send the frequencies to one place, so stereo output is impossible.

I bet it could be modified to support Stereo, though. CALCmod supported it after all and I think MobileTunes/Quadplayer did too. However, I'm unsure how hard this would be to modify in Axe.

The calculator I/O port uses a 2.5mm stereo cable, and ASM has direct control over the "left" and "right" channels, so it's only a matter of Axe supporting it.

I'm guessing it could flash back and forth between left and right, but it can't do real stereo as far as I've heard.

As far as I know, that's entirely correct.  If quigibo doesn't add it, why not write an axiom with the awesome SDK to do this? ;)

Real stereo is possible, as I've seen at least two programs that do it. ;)

Hmm...All this time I've been under the impression it used a mono port. In that case, yes, stereo output would be possible :P
