Title: BatLib News
Post by: Xeda112358 on May 04, 2011, 07:59:07 am
I plan to keep future updates to BatLib over at United-TI. This will likely mean less input, but I can deal with that. Here is the thing: BatLib is an app that I started for my own uses. I only released it to begin with to make a name for myself and now that I have made a name for myself, I have been taken on a guilt trip too many times whenever I have wanted to leave in the past.

I will still frequent Omnimaga, probably, but I would rather my IP be banned and my account deleted. I could just troll the hell out of this place instead, but I would rather be a little more mature about it.

So here is the deal: I have tools that I make for my own programming. Since these tools can be replicated easily, I have no problem sharing them. If you have neat ideas, I have no problem listening. If you want to use the tools I create for myself, you can, but for now, I will not be keeping my tools up to date, here.

O.O Zeda, this was unexpected. I understand what you're feeling though: you're leaving and everybody will miss you. Not sure why that is a problem for you though.

That was most certainly incomprehensible. You're sort of staff now, I hope you can still frequently visit Omnimaga, especially because you are very popular here and a lot of us like you. You also have a subforum for BatLib.

Either way, I wish you good luck with coding BatLib and hope it keeps advancing because, as you know, I am a BatLib fan, and it helped me learning TI-Basic.

:/

I hope eventually you reconsider, although I can understand your decision. Things were not very stable here lately, and recently it was often caused by me. This is a lot of stress for you and maybe it's best to take time off.

Hopefully things will be better once you return. I think you should still post about Batlib on other forums even if you did it again here too, though, since you could get more feedback, although this would mean a lot of replies to check. Good luck whatever you decide.

Xeda, I am sad to see you go. I have always enjoyed using your programs and look forward to updates.

I will float around from time to time, I just don't think I will be as active with the updates, here.

I'm honestly surprised to read this. I tend to stay out of a fair bit of the politics, so I didn't know anything was up.

I don't talk much outside of IRC, but based off your conduct there, you were one of the people I held in high regard. Looking at how you're handling this, I have to say that I still hold you in that high regard.

Sucks to see you go, but hopefully you'll still come visit.

Netham: Nothing was up with this O.o

This is entirely unexpected Xeda.  I highly disagree with your point of view.  But good luck.
