No, a game for the calculator that just happens to be 3D.
Since Axe doesn't exist on the Prizm (and a rendering engine is going to be eating up some serious CPU), it's in Assembly.
Well, I did try to make a TI port of this game awhile back. It didn't take me long to realize that the processor isn't nearly fast enough to handle it.
In any case, the 84+ SE doesn't have enough memory. It'll be amazing if I can fit this game in 16 MB.
Not many details here, but it sounds interesting none the less. What type of 3d are you planning to implement? What genre is the game going to be? Inquiring minds wish to know! :D
Did you use Blender for those images?
So basically is this pre-rendered 3D scenes like Time Commando or even Final Fantasy VII, or is it real 3D? I also assume this will be both for the computer and calc, right?
the Time Commando way might take extreme amounts of memory, though, since scrolling was pretty much image by image O.O (Well, I'm sure it was, because there's no way 1995-96 computers could render polygon 3D graphics THIS detailled O.O)
Looks nice.
Did you use Blender for those images?Nope.
