Title: File formats
Post by: AngelFish on February 19, 2011, 03:25:58 am
Hello, if anyone has access to files of the following formats, would you mind releasing them to me? I'd like to publish some documentation on the file formats and I need to look at them first.

The formats I don't have: .g2m, .g1r, .g2r, .g3l

The formats I'd like more examples of, excluding the previous list: .g1m, .g1e, .g2e, .g3e

Thanks  :)

I wonder what is g2. I know g1 is FX-9860G but I don't know about the others.

No idea. But the OS has support for those formats, so there's probably a reason for it.

g2* is for the fx-9860GII...

Ah ok, thanks for the info. I was sure the GII used the same files as my 9860G (which uses g1 it seems, even though I got OS 2.0)

I'll have to check again eventually to make sure, though.

Also weren't there .CAT, fxi and such other formats?

these there, iirc, for the even older modells (CFX) and could be compared to g1m in function (they store Programs, Pictures, Lists and so on), but on this i'm not sure...

EDIT: also these are not readable from the fx9860G(II) itself, but can be opened from the transferprogram (FA-124)

Yeah that's what I thought. I remember some were for the CFX.

g2* is for b&w calcs with OS 2.*
