My letter to casio -- read before I send!

Hello, Casio education:

My name is Adam and I am 14 year old student in 9th grade and I am a devoted developer for graphing calculators. I like making games, utilities, and math/science programs for graphing calculators; basically, I'm all over the place in love with programming calculators.  I really wish to develop for your new casio prizm model, which I hear is to be released sometime in January 2011.  Me (and my friends) have a few questions, to see what power the prizm will give us to develop.  Could you answer them?  We would really appreciate it greatly:

Will the prizm have a software development kit for C/assembly programming?  If so, is it free to use and do we need licenses to use it?

What processor is it based on?  I've heard somewhere it's based on a reduced-instruction 32-bit processor, it this true?  What is processing speed of the processor?

What color palette does the prizm use?  Is it standard 16 bit or 15 bit with an additional bit for luminescence? And, will the SDK (if there is one) allow use to harness all of these colors?

Is the 61K of user ram for CASIO-BASIC programs, or for ADD-INs too?  how much of the 16mb of storage is free for use to use with add-ins?

Also, does this model have backward compatibility with previous models?  And, how is data transferred from calculator to computer?

Thanks in advance for all of your help!  We are really looking forward to your new model.  If it supports 3rd party development, then we will truly acknowledge that it is the "NSpire killer" -- TI is too restrictive on 3rd party development.

Looks good!  I do hope you get an response though, as Casio never responded to one of my questions. :(

I think this should maybe be reworded to avoid the fragment at the end.  How about, "Does this model have backward compatibility with previous models?  Also, how is data transferred from calculator to computer?"

Are your friends (in the letter), us or real life friends?

If us, link it. If not, don't.

It's pushing it. I wouldn't recommend it. Let them respond personally if at all.

Maybe less focus on games? What if Casio was against games on calculators and decided to limit the calc even more to prevent them? You could mention games, but also powerful school applications and stuff, so the focus is not 100% on games. Try to make sure it sounds like you know it's a calculator and not a gaming handheld, but still ask them questions on a developer side.

Thanks in advance for all of your help!  We are really looking forward to your new model.  I hope the Casio prizm supports at least some 3rd party development.  I also thought about getting a TI-NSpire, but found it was too restrictive.
