Title: It's Broken
Post by: Freyaday on April 15, 2011, 12:08:02 pm
I don't know what, exactly, happened, but the new OmnomIRC is completely broken for me. I'm running Chrome, and nothing works at all in it. On the dedicated page, it even says Larger View. None of the links work, and I can't post.

Same for me :/ The colors are not even displaying half of the time...

EDIT: Seems it works on Larger view?

I was on the dedicated page, on the larger view. Are you running, Chrome too, perchance?

None of it is working for me at all. I get the colors, though.

Edit: Post 500!

I have Chrome as well. The dedicated page works, but not the small one.

Neither works for me.

Netham45 did some big changes, so maybe you should remove the cache and retry.

I'm running Chromium on Linux, and have no problems so far.

Omnomirc is a bit weird for me too, I'll try deleting caches.

EDIT: It worked, I just can't go to the french channel.

I have a problem though, the userlist is not showing up.

I traced the problem to http://www.omnimaga.org/omnomirc/omniUsersAJAX.html (this is the frame content), where a script is trying to see if it should take the English user or French user list (parent.window.frames[0].isEnglish()). This however returns an error, and aborts the whole script, preventing the  userlist to load.

Edit:
There are more problems.
A workaround is to run this in your urlbar: javascript:window.frames[0].isEnglish = function isEnglish(){return true};void(0);

Works fine in Firefox and Chrome. I think it might be a cookie issue, since I haven't experienced it.

Yes, its also something with cookies. Probably with the toggle function that Netham45 implanted.
You can try to clear your cookies, but I don't know if this will fix it permanent.

In case it doesn't, just use the script above.

How do I use the script, exactly?

Just paste it in your url and press enter.
Please not that you will have to run this every time you reload the page.

Hmm weird. For some reasons I think Netham45 should simply move the entire folder and rename the files. That way there won't be cache issues anymore. As for cookies I don't know. It works fine for me in Opera, but I didn't try in Chrome, IE9 nor Firefox.

Clearing the cache worked for me.

I tried in IE, FF and Chrome and none worked. I'll try clearing my cache/cookies, though.

EDIT: Ok, new tests after clearing cache!

Chrome: Works fine, but sending text takes an extra second compared to Opera.

Opera: Works fine

Internet Explorer 9: Chat display is fine, but the online list won't appear until you switch between languages. We cannot send text at all.

Firefox: Works fine, but we cannot see all the text at once. There's a vertical scrollbar.
