Title: OmnomIRC has quit (Ping timeout: 378 seconds)
Post by: Munchor on June 04, 2011, 05:22:28 pm
OmnomIRC goes down when nobody says anything for a while?

Not sure. I think Netham45 internet died, because now it wouldn't load anymore. Had to disable it completely because it prevented the entire page to load.

THis is the exact same reason why Omnimaga will never get ads: When the advertisment server is down, everything below ads will not load.

Some ads are trustworthy like Google. Either way, let's wait until Netham45's Internet is back up.

It depends. I saw some sites that used them where everything below wouldn't load at all. It's rare, though.

When something won't load, IE usually load the rest, and draw a tiny red cross in the upper left cornet of the item that can't be loaded. Sometimes it also displays 'the page cannot be displayed' at the place where the add should be. Everything else is loaded normally

it depends on how the web page is setup for whether that will happen ben_g if the web page is waiting for a nonworking part to load it will never load

My server froze, so my host restarted it and the bots didn't reconnect.

Also, we really don't need a thread every time OmnomIRC disconnects.

Well the thing is that it's to notify you of when it disconnect since you usually check here often, and I noticed new posts in new threads are sometimes ignored, unlike new topics :/. This is why we start a new thread everytime...

Sometimes it seems to be different issues like this one so people start new topics
