Occasionally, I use the Today's Log link on top of the chat box to view something I missed, but for some reason, it can never load to the bottom in Chrome. It's really weird: The entire log loads fine until the very last page, and then it suddenly crashes (thankfully, Chrome is multi-process ;)). It doesn't matter how long the log is. It always loads fine until the very last page, no matter how I scroll down to it (with the scrollbar, with the down key, with PgDn, or with End). Also, only Chrome has this issue (the whole log loads fine in IE) ???
-
odd, I'm using Chrome and it works fine for me. ???
-
same here, i don't have any problems o.O what OS are you using?
-
Weird, same here. I had this happen in opera once, not so long ago, though....
Maybe you got a virus or something?

It actually worked a few months ago, I think. It just started having the problem a few days ago...
I'm on Windows Vista.

Hopefully not D:

Note that logs might have recently gotten much larger with the activity increase on the forums, and maybe there are some bugs in Netham45's log parser as well or special chars that causes Chrome to freak out. Else, it might be a broken Chrome install or virus.

Well, I have an old version of Chrome anyway. I'll try reinstalling.

Ah, right, you might want to update, in case. Does Chrome warn of new updates btw? I often notice people run older versions of it.
-
Nope, it doesn't. At least not for me. Maybe they're still treating it as a beta?
-
I'm not sure. Maybe it was disabled because people got annoyed with automatic updates for other softwares. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an option somewhere to warn for updates, though.
-
Oh, wait, that's weird...
Chrome must have automatically updated. Last time I checked, it was still in the 4.x range ???
EDIT: So does anyone else running Vista have the problem?
-
Ya, I'm fairly sure Chrome automatically updates itself. That's an odd issue though :(

I just checked in Chrome(latest -- just installed), and it all worked fine.
Do you have any plugins or custom config options that may be causing it?

Oh, yeah, I have several different extensions installed. That might be it. I'll try disabling them to see which one causes the freeze.

If one of them is buggy, maybe that might leave permanent damage to the Chrome install, so if you still get problems after uninstalling them, you might want to re-install Chrome as well.
