Title: Celestia Video Game Software
Post by: CoD_Black_Ops_Master on October 18, 2012, 03:54:30 pm
Hi guys,
It's been a long time since I've visited the forums here at omnimaga.
That's because I've been focusing on my new video game projects.
Celestia VG Software is just the name I am going to publish the projects under. Right now, I need help. The project only has 3 people helping. Currently, we are working on a Minecraft Bukkit Server, called "ModernCraft." The goal of the server is to give Minecraft a fun, modern world experience that you can't really get in Single Player (without mods). If you want to help build the server, then go here to find the info:https://sites.google.com/site/celestiasoftware/gameprojects/moderncraft (https://sites.google.com/site/celestiasoftware/gameprojects/moderncraft)
Also, reply to the topic and give me your minecraft username so that I can make you an operator!!!!

I am also working on a project called Demon Killer I: Starfall. It's a futuristic FPS game. I am making it using the Zandronum/Skulltag Engine, which is a sourceport of Doom that supports 3D models, Hi-Res Textures, and media\sounds\music that were not compatible with the original Doom(.ogg, .mp3, .wav, .png, .bmp, .jpg, etc.).

I need help working on it, as I don't know how to make 3D models or textures, and can't code that well. I am making the music for the game, but if you know how to make music in MIDI (If you can help make music using MIDI, please send me the original MIDI files, and I will convert it into a .mp3 file for the game)or using a wavetable, you can still help me. I am also making the storyline and the weapons for the game. I have some 3D models that I can use, but I don't know how to do the Modeldefs thingy. If you can help, first go to this page: https://sites.google.com/site/celestiasoftware/gameprojects/starfall (https://sites.google.com/site/celestiasoftware/gameprojects/starfall) and then either reply to this topic, telling me that you can help, or email me at [email protected].

Also, I got a blog and a google group up. They are:
celestiasoftware.blogspot.com (http://celestiasoftware.blogspot.com)
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/celestiavgsoftware5699 (https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/celestiavgsoftware5699)

If you are helping with one of the projects, then I will add you as a member to the

If you can help, please reply or email me! You will then be a part of Celestia Video Game Software!!!!

One day, I hope that I can make Celestia VG Software a company!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, my old username njaddison, I will still be using it, but not as much.

Seems pretty nice :P

Also you should had requested a name change or used your old account instead of creating another account, as multiple accounts are discouraged.

And another thing, is that a reference to My Little Pony, as there's a character named Celestia in MLP? :P

Seems interesting, although I think it's against forum rules to have two accounts. :P (You might want to PM an admin from your old account to merge them and change your old nickname to this one)

yeah, it isn't stated outright on the rules page, but multiple accounts are not allowed. what i'll do is ban this one, so your post is not lost, and, if you'd like, change the display name of njaddison to whatever you want.

Shmibs you might want to append (duplicate account) or something at the end of this one, else he can't reuse this nick :P

That's the only reason I clicked on this thread :P

okay guys.
I fished my old password out of some files I had in my My Documents folder.
I haven't been on the forums so long, I couldn't remember my password. So now I'll just be using my njaddison account (I don't care if you delete my CoD_Black_Ops_Master Account).

BTW, here's an interesting page I created on my CVG Software site. It's a monthly recognition of someone who had a notable contribution to the world of computers (Everything from MIDI music to Operating Systems to Battery Powered Weapons). If you want to see who this month's is, then click the link below:
https://sites.google.com/site/celestiasoftware/technology-acknowledgement (https://sites.google.com/site/celestiasoftware/technology-acknowledgement)

You'll be suprised when you see who it is. If you've never heard of Apogee Software (A.K.A. 3D Realms, Pinball Wizards), then you probably won't know who this person is.

By the way, no this is not a reference to MLP. I am unfortunately not a Brony. I have never gotten the brony craze. Maybe it's just not my thing. The name Celestia came from the greek word for the heavens or space. It is also the planet that the main character in my game Demon Killer I is from.

I need someone to approve a download for a song I recently made for the game.
It's in the right place, with all of the other "Our Own Music" stuff.
The download is called Nelson Addison's Techno Symphony #1. The actual song is called "Techno Symphony #1." I need someone to approve it so that people can download it. If you want to listen to it first, then here's the link:

Sorry, this is the third time I have posted in succession. I am doing this because OmniIRC is back up, and if I post this message, then people will come to the page. I need help with something.

I am learning how to do the Modeldefs thingy in the various enhanced ports of GZDoom.
I need help finding which frames to use. I am making a High-Resolution Duke Nukem 3D mod for Doom. It uses 3D models.
