Title: Cooperative Editing Plugin for Code::Blocks
Post by: ruler501 on January 26, 2012, 12:22:34 pm
Me and Homer-16 were working on a chat program of his. As we were working we both commented on how useful it would be to have a real-timecooperative editing plugin for Code::Blocks. I told him I would start this thread for working on the plugin. If anyone has any ideas or wants to help please post here. I have no experience with writing Code::Blocks plugins so I will have to figure out how to do that. The only thing I'd really like for this would to have it be cross platform so I and anyone else could use it on Windows/Linux/Mac/etc.

Hmm. I looked around a bit more for existing plugins and I can only find one or two for Eclipse. I think that real time collaboration could also be useful on some existing online IDE's in the calc community, like ORG. (Hint, hint) :P

I'll start with the Code::Blocks one. It will take me a while though. I have to learn how to do that and how to write plugins for Code::Blocks. I will try and publish some starter source code on Monday. If anyone knows much about setting up cooperative editing or writing plugins for Code:Blocks I'd much appreciate your help
