The game engine, which is the brunt of what free time I have right now, will probably be used for more than just Lorn and Combat Ball. I have a number of ideas for games that could be made one the engine fairly simply, some of which would require relatively little art and take perhaps a few hours total to make, while others would require quite a bit of effort. Until I put up info for the games themselves, I'll put any such materials in here.

-sprite/tile tess for a contest I might enter
-
wow awesome, hopefully your engine will make developpement easier and faster. I can't wait to see what you can come up with.

well, in recent news i have been slowly moving all my files from my laptop to my vista per my my laptop's usb no-longer working, and its screen dying (using an external monitor). Sufice it to say I am not getting much done till I can transfer everything. While I keep hoping to be to be more active, crap like this keeps coming up. For some more possitive news I did get a major portion of my level editor working (allowing me to resize the corners of objects I add to the work area.) Hopefully I will have something to talk about soon.
-
I hope you don,t lose anything. Laptops tend to break pretty often especially when used a lot. I hope to see more progress though
-
well, the new desktop is mostly set up and all, after i get a few things for class finish I should have some new screenies to post and such
-

-

-
looks awesome.
-
Really great work, even something simple like that status bars look amazing!
-
i also liked what he posted on IRC, altough Idk if I am allowed to share here. But it was quite shocking and I would wish the game actually had this O.o
EDIT: actually necro posted about it just now in the screenshot thread
-
Looks great!

Well, work continues on the editor for this. I starting to hit a brick wall with trying to get certain things to work due to me cutting corners earlier, so I am going to be doing a major code clean up. In my defense, game maker is not well designed for the sorts of things I am trying to make it do (complex code development), but anyways, I figure I might as well show you what the editor I have no plans to release looks like.

Oh, and I just found out you can overload scripts in gml which makes me very happy...its not as good as having constructors, but meh
-
ooooh interesting, I also hope you can get around the bugs in the other project that cause the game to not run on most computers
-
Looks pretty nice, I like the curser thing.

That looks pretty sweet! ^^

Nice, some of these would be cool if used in a 89 game
-
Haha, I thought it was a feature in one of your games..Make it look like a 68k calc :P

Leaves are a bit wonky, but at least I figured out how to make a brush for them. Maybe darken them and decrease the alpha?
-

I agree that looks really good...cant wait to see more
-

The idea is a simplified side scrolling rpg, the graphics right now are in a state of flux since I decided near monochrome with details would work better than silouetes.
-
i like the effect in this one
-
Wow, thats awesome!
-
wow this look samazing
semi random question how good of a cmputer will be needed to run this ???(mine suxs thats y im asking :( )
-
Shouldn't require much, as long as direct x works it should be fine.
-
awsome cause running a computer with a p3 processor sucks it can barely play a "newer" good looking games
-
That is looking awesome! Love the black and white display, for some reason it makes it look very cool :) Very good use of art direction ;D Can't wait to see more!

Thank the gods I won't be using color
-
Nice ^^, also what I like about grayscale is that it's usually 256 colors only but due to lack of colors will look almost as great (if not better) as 24-bit depth
-
Oh wow! That looks intense!
-
-redundant/old image removed by necro-
-
wow it fits pretty well!
-
Indeed. Might want to put it behind the grass though, the ground looks a little too flat underneath if you know what i mean.
-
That will be less of a problem as I get more tiles done. As well, I really want to finish some of the effects I plan to have.
-
Wow! It looks great!
-
Yeah thats good. It looks great otherwise, good work!

-
Nice again ^^
-
Gerat job!
-
Looks awesome! Is that going to be your character or just an NPC? (or just concept art :P)
-
Main character. The game concept, while similar has been changed a bit so I wanted a different character design.

Wow! That looks great! Can't wait for more!

Very cool! :)

Nice! Is it animated? Does the background animate and the drops fall? It would be cool to see a screenshot of that if you have it ;)
-

keep in mind, this is a fairly "large" animation even at 10 frames a second if you have a slow connection (over 6 megs for 6 seconds X.)
-
HOLY SHIT! IT,s nice! Great rain effect
-
Wow that IS great!! Thanks for the screenie ;D Can't wait to see more on this!
-
That's amazing!! Great Rain Effect!
How much will you use this in the game?
-
I'm not sure how exactly weather will work. I'll probably determine that as I flesh other features out more.
