wtf is that from? is it at windows startup? If i was you i would google XDs.exe and error maybe they would have some help on random forums, else someone here may be able to help

actually, no.

XDs.exe was originally named XDC, but I changed it because I wrote a program to use it, but I made a typo on EVERY one, and I didn't want to fix it.

XDs.exe is X10 control software(X10 CP290 interface lets me control the lights in my house over wired power on a different frequency than the 120 V.)

For some reason, it spits this error out on exit, but it all works. I was wondering if anyone knew how to shut this error up.

 Try it again without the ".exe" extension.

remember wndows xp emulate DOS very crappily. some commands doesnt work at all sometimes and often dos programs that worked in 2k and 98 crash/doesnt run in XP.

what about DOSbox? It is a DOS emulator for XP.
