Title: Connect laptop to wifi
Post by: ben_g on March 16, 2012, 07:24:04 pm
I have an old laptop here, and it always connected to the internet using wifi well, but a few days ago, it suddenly stopped connecting. When I use thinkvantage acces connections, it can detect the network, but when it tries to configure an ip, it says 'connection failed'. Is there a way to fix this?

Something I did to fix the wireless on my old laptop was to reinstall the driver for the wireless card. I also had discovered that the wifi was disabled in BIOS for some reason. Perhaps that's your problem as well?

I highly doubt it was disabled in BIOS for no reason. I would check if you accidentally disabled it in windows or maybe a physical wifi button
