Never Gonna Give Up my New Laptop

Hello,
I just got a newish laptop.  It's an Dell Inspiron 6000, with a 32-bit 1.6 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 70GB HDD, and a kick @ss LCD with 1680x1050 resolution.  I love the feel of the keyboard, and it's got built in bluetooth, very nice.
But here's the real kicker: I got it for $50.

Yeah.  Bought it off a friend who just upgraded, and it was endlessly crashing under Windows XP.  She said to me, "You're a nerd, maybe you can keep this stable.  I'll give it to you for free."  I said "ZOMG!  I have to pay you something, how about $50?"  "Okay, sure!"

Wow that's nice, over here such computer costs about $140 and a laptop with those specs would be about $200 for sure.

That said I wonder how many New Laptop topics there are on the forums, now :P *ponders starting a sub-forum just for new laptop topics*

Awesomesauce! Reminds me of the new PC I got for 75$ some years back. It had been returned because it wouldn't boot. Me and a buddy of mine opened it up and it had a loose cable... that was it. =)

Nice. If you are good at electronics or can get help, you can save a lot of money on computers if it just needs repairing but is sold extremly cheap because it's broken. :D

You are lucky, though, because your school sells their old computers :P (I wish the cegep I went to did that... I may have gotten a nice (*cough*oxymoron?*cough*runs*) mac to do some school work back then)
