Title: problem with a memory card read file system

Good day, can somebody help me with a trouble im having, i have a memory card from a cellphone and i cant paste files into it, the error says "error while copying, The destination is read-only" i tried changing with nautilus but its the same T.T

btw i have a mini galaxy

Flip the little tiny switch on the SD card and try again.

its still the same.... file desintation is read only T.T

Maybe you can copy everything off of it, format it, then try again.  Or that might be a bad idea since you might not be able to get the stuff back on even after you format it.

i already format it in the cellphone, its the same thing.. file system read only...

I sometimes had that issue, go to terminal and type in sudo nautilus and then try again with the new window that popped up, or try changing the permissions of the drive.

i already nautilus, it doesnt work....

changed permissions also... doesnt work..

sudo nautilus is running as root, super user, which gives you by default more permissions (I'm thinking your on linux because nautilus is the gnome file browser?)

Yeah, try running nautilus a root (fire up a terminal and type sudo nautilus) and try again.

get out a live cd/usb and test it with that.

usually, the cause of a problem like that is either a permissions issue (like people mentioned above), or because you don't have the right libraries installed for that file system (although, with ubuntu, that doesn't seem likely).
