Well i love the old style and charm of Interactive Fiction games

if you Don't know what these are. http://www.ifwiki.org/index.php/FAQ should get you in the right direction.

Now that thats cleared up what is #Omnimaga - The RPG


Well it intends to be a unlinear(ish) exploration rpg in the land of #Omnimaga's Memes

Cherry dragons lolis and evil clones and all

There really is no goal set as to what the "object" of the rpg is. There will really be no leveling up there will be hidden areas and puzzles and such though to get threw to get to all the areas ^_^

Other than that thats all i have so far.

OH and for the record this hopefully will be an example of a good text based RPG ;)

maybe i might introduce a form of event based fighting depends on how the event system ends up being hammered out as of the moment i have no idea what the internals of this is going to look like hell the text parser part of it is going to be hell in its own accord.

the text parser parses strings of commands like a console up to two words at once its a lot more complex in code than one would think T.T

Also looking for some one who is willing to write a axe program for me with iambians pucrunch lib i need to hammer out exactly how i want it to work but the program will be needed and i don't know axe yet T.T

Is this in Axe, BASIC, or hybrid? But yeah, parsing is a pain.

PS: I assume that you won't be trying an advanced parser, so it's generally best (speed wise) to only search for the first letter of each word and then compare the matches to the entire words rather than looking for each word as a whole.

Don't forget lobsters and squirreliojazzes selling peanuts. Don't overdo rickrolls, though, so it sounds more like an Omni RPG rather than internet. :P

Also as a tribute to Deep Thought's website, you could maybe include a boss that burns Casio Prizms and you would need to stop him to put back a balance between TI and Casio users. :P

OH GOD i started to draw up the map of the actual channel...guess i need to add a new area for the computer sections....aka every thing every one has said T.T

so far i have things drawn to what i believe to be in the channel but i know its my view point so ill post the image soon as my fsecking scanner works xD

Yeah the Ashbadia name sounds cool for some reasons.

What about Tales of Ashbadia and make some sort of spinoff of Tales series? This might push it a bit too far with the battle engine, though. It could maybe have 1v1 battles, though.

Rofl if gcn works in tibasic why the hell not ill make a picto chat like game i see no reason .... but atm gcn + tibasic == nothing ;) to my knoledge at least

and ashbad you do get that this is an rpg right? not just like a place hang ;) and thats visual aide for me the game will be 100% text when im done ;)

@dj thats the intent in the end to get every where. you have to meet everyone and you will have to solve puzzle beat mini games ectera. so far thats drawing is area 1.
the screen room is how you get every where else its going to be described as the inside of a computer screen

the cherry realm and iambians closet are also seperate areas which will be "special" in a way iambian has thought of many time before >:F (if i can get it to work xD my secret for now :>)

BAMP i actually am, but its taking a back burner to Cadan. I still want to prove that you can make a Good Text based rpg on a calculator. Even if its just for shitz and giggles lol. ill probably pick this back up in a month or 2
