Hey, as some of you may or may not know Nintendo Power will be concluding its publication with the December 2012 issue.
I have an idea...
We can create our own magazine based around Nintendo and new releases etc.
Now this of course wouldn't be a printed one, it would be distributed on the Google Play store and/or Zinio (a magazine distribution platform).
We need organization before we start. We need to plan out content multiple months in advance or this will never last. And I want it to.
Sections:
Upcoming Games
New Game Reviews
Classic Corner
Some kind of spot for our Nintendo fan games on our calculators, because after all this is Omnimaga... Plus it may attract new people to the world of calculator programming asm, basic, and axe.
Any ideas? Anyone with me?

(x5) Writers --
Finance --
And other ideas for people we need?

That is an interesting idea. Pretty sure tons of people will do the same thing and try to revive Nintendo Power though, but whatever it's a good idea.
I also like the idea of a calculator section, it might be out of place (since it's not even about Nintendo), but it's still interesting. Or you could even do a separate magazine about calculators.

Would be nice indeed, but I don't think it should be limited to Nintendo (although there could be a focus on them) and if it's gonna be by Omnimaga members, there should be an extra section dedicated to graphing calculator game reviews/news and discoveries.
Also making a big magazine like Nintendo Power would be a lot of work, so unless it's kept a bit smaller I doubt it would work in long terms due to lack of motivation. On the other hand, how many pages are there in a Nintendo Power magazine nowadays and how many are just an ad?
A separate calc magazine would not work, though, as it was attempted several times before and was short-lived. Examples are "Le Journal de TI-BANK", the Omnimaga CGPN (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=articles;cat=9), The Realm of Zilak (http://omnimaga.org/oldsite/vol1iss1.pdf) (which only lasted one edition), the Calc RPG Newsletter (which did not even see one release, although an interview was already done) and the english spinoff of TI-BANK newspaper by TsukasaZX that was in development here in 2010.

The Calculator section thought juju is about ports and fan games made by us. SO it sort of is by nintendo.
And DJ_O even though it is made by Omni members, it is a nintendo mag so calc things wouldn't really be content for it, regardless of who made it.
The mag would be small. 20-30 pages maybe. Or Bi-Monthly and a little longer. We'd have to see who we get first.

Ah ok. Well then it would prbly need to be promoted elsewhere on non calc sites as well once the first issue is about to come out, though, so it gets a larger audience in general (and maybe bring some people here to talk about gaming)
Someone should maybe revive a calc magazine or newsletter as well, though.
