Nice, I got mine in 2001 at a used video game store. Nowadays those are rare around here, same for Dreamcast. I think I got it for $25 with the Zapper gun and SMB+Duck HUnt. I got a bunch of games for it including the amazing (but laggy D:) Kirby Adventure

Final Fantasy 1
Metroid (very hard, tho)
Rad Racer, if you're into racing game. Pretty cool racing game for a NES, and also made by Square-Enix, IIRC.
If you don't mind grinding in RPGs, Dragon Warrior is also good.

I've always wanted to play dragon warrior but I've never gotten around to it =/. Maybe now's the time to get it...

Watch out where you buy it though, because over here that used game store sells old games for pretty high when they're hard to find. I got DW for $7 in 2002, but now they sell it for $20. I think they sell Megaman 2 for $35. Online and at some other stores they sell old NES/SNES games for like $5-10.

How much did you pay for it? Seems like retro consoles are ridiculously expensive online. If you go through eBay, all the listings are going to treat it like some ultra-rare collector's item.

Usually, you can find older consoles in thrift stores or pawn shops for fairly reasonable prices. Flea markets are also a good option.

On Ebay, usually old consoles and games will range between $0.01 and $30, but then people will bid so incredibly much that it will end into the $100s

I got it for about $50. I know that I probably paid too much for it, but there aren't any pawn shops near my house that I can buy one from =/.

On another note, I just got Kirby's Adventure in the mail yesterday! But until I get the actual console, it will just be sitting on the shelf taunting me.  :P

btw since this isn't really a spam topic and is related to gaming, I decided to move it to the "Other gaming discussion" sub-forum

Btw the used game store that still sells old games nearby used to have full of N64 consoles for $40. They rarely had any others, but most people were getting rid of their N64 due to poor game genre selection (especially RPGs). Good luck getting a NES/SNES/Sega Megadrive or Dreamcast there, though.
