After multiple failed attempts at quitting I finally had to resort to getting all my accounts banned (including a free account with everything over level 80, which equates to playing 24/7 for months on end).
As a courtesy for all the recovering RSers here (I finally know I'm not alone!), please never mention that 'game' again :)

ugh, I'd rather play WoW then play RS, which is highly unlikely. I don't know how anybody can get addicted to it

I know some online and offlien ppl who got addicted to WoW, but that goes for pretty much every mmorpg, depending of the person. I personally prefer traditional RPGs (such as Final Fantasy) in 2D tilemaps and for the PC I mostly play Starcraft, but since I am not that much of a gamer, I won't get addicted to games as easily as other people.
As for RS, I think Halifax, one of our former staff and former TI-Freakware staff, he used to play RS and I think another Omnimaga member played it too a while afterward. I never bothered to try really

You have no idea how lucky you are! I tried it out once because a friend recommended it, but I didn't stick with it. A few months later I tried again, this time putting some effort into figuring out why everyone kept playing, and that's how I got hooked/addicted/dependent.

Simplethinker's right DON'T try RS it's just too addictive.

It's really not to bad and has ALOT of content. But it does require a shitload of level grinding as your stats get alot higher. It is also rather addictive. =P

I hate mmorpgs when you need to fight 1000 enemies to gain one level, this is what keep me away from them most of the time, not to mention in most of them it's all about getting stronger. I prefer RPGs with a set story that eventually ends like Final Fantasy

See I'm more of the opposite I like a rpg where you wander around with no clear objective and do random things.

I had a level 85 acc't, and I eventually got annoyed by wasting my money/time on it, and sold it to a friend for the remainder of my acc't balance.

Uhm, Yes RS.level 76 i think? i quit when my freind introduced me to maple.. and then i gave away my rs acc to a hacker..
then the problem was..Maple.. i was addicted to it.. then i recently quit EVERYSINGLE FACKIN GAME.and i got about.. 12 hours of free time a day which i now enjoy.. sometimes i play maple when im bored.

If you copy the URL (http://www.geocities.jp/z_gundam_tanosii/home/syobon-action.zip), then paste it in your address bar and press Enter, it works fine. Non-america versions of Geoshitties doesn't allow remote linking, so clicking it directly will not work, same if you link to an image from this host.
And yes, Geocities is shutting down in October I think. Those who got sites hosted there and want to keep memories of them, back them up now.

Wow, I remember playing that game last year. I was addicted to it for about a week, to the point that I could beat the entire game without losing more than five to ten lives.
