So today in my advanced computer science class, one of my friends found this website that will allow you to fight with usb flash drive monsters! The way this works is that you have different flash drives and SSD's to choose from (up to 4) and you can create your own "Media Monster". You are able to fight against random monsters, rankings, and the final boss! You progress through the game by being beat most of the time at the beginning, but as you progress you gain gigabytes to make your Media Monster even stronger. Cool eh? Here's some pic's of in-game play:

This seems rather unfair. All of the other players (or bots?) all have like 30,000 games. Still very interesting though.
-
Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!
-
It's pretty awesome. I just won a match and gained 4.82 TB. O.o
-
This is so dumb that it's epic! ;)
-
lol yeah.. it can become addicting i guess :P

I guess some people have more time on their hands than others :p

To quote myself, I think I figured this game out. When you stop playing, the game uses your player to fight other real people. It still updates your stats which is why the bots have so many games played and all have at least one stat at 100. Also, the reason that some of the bots have so many games is that the view by rank is broken and shows the same bots every time.
Btw, I beat The Verbatim.

I'm going to show this to all my friends!

REPLAY: DOD vs. MAL (round one) (http://www.verbatim.jp/senshuken/?replay=25511777)
MAL's ranked #6 (I think). My DOD is ranked #224478. And yet it was a close one--DOD almost managed to beat MAL.
-
now here is my A9A (http://www.verbatim.jp/senshuken/?id=4502802)

-
I killed ELM instantly. :evillaugh: I am now ranked 150,000th.

That's c.sprinkle's. :)
DON vs. NOK (rank 3) (http://www.verbatim.jp/senshuken/?replay=25514716)
DON (http://www.verbatim.jp/senshuken/?id=4499216)
-
ELM = Erica Leonard McCoy (an original character of mine from my Star Trek fanfiction)
DOD = Department of Defense
TI+ = Texas Instruments Plus (Couldn't fit "TI 83+")
DFK = De Forest Kelley (one of my favorite actors, played Doctor McCoy in the original Star Trek series)
Anyone else wanna share what their USB monsters' names stand for?
I'm thinking of creating a list of all of our USB monsters, so that we can have battles with each other./me is really getting into this.
-
Here's mine :)

REPLAY: DOD vs. JOS (http://www.verbatim.jp/senshuken/?id=4503279)
DOD took him down eventually.
I'll write up the list tomorrow when I have the time.
And I have made a fifth one, that I've named 'GOD'.
-
Maybe we make a list in the first post?
-
PWN = self explanitory :P
PN2 = PWN 2 (successor)
PN3 = PWN 3 (successor)
-
Maybe we make a list in the first post?
And ruin the fun for me?
-
In what way?
-
Err, mine beat JOD pretty easy, WRS :P I posted him earlier
-
BTW, here's INS (http://www.verbatim.jp/senshuken/?id=4497386). It looks dumb, but it's good.
-
Beat it.

Here's mine. ARC.
And I almost just beat ELM...
-
Wow nice!
won 3 times
-
Everybody's monsters fight better when their owner is controlling them.
I killed 666 and beat DOD 3 times.
-
I made a second one - it's named DNR.

Agreed. In my case it's because I use a better strategy than mine do when left to fend for themselves.
I killed 666 and beat DOD 3 times.
I created 666 this morning, and it hasn't really won any battles yet, so I'm not surprised about that. As for DOD, well, he's got this tendency to waffle, so again, I'm not surprised.
At the rate that I keep making new monsters, I might just make a post in my livejournal with links to all of my monsters and have a link to that in my signature.
-
FFFFF.
I switched OSes. I forgot my media monster will only be on that OS. :c
-
Now I have my revenge, Raylin. :evillaugh:
Also, I agree. The computer never fights as well as a person would.
I wonder how long it takes to get into first place.
-
Probably at least six months (presuming a victory ratio of 5 wins per one loss, with the user playing that monster only for that time), I think.
-
I guess the top ones were the first ones on the site.
-
Probably.
-
By the way, here's RKR (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ).
-
Just watch the two health bars in this one O.O
http://www.verbatim.jp/senshuken/?replay=25655597
-
That's pretty awesome.
-
And just took down MAL (on the top rankings :D).
