Currently, me and my bro have been playing for about 1 month, and we have just gotten past where you meet the plant/creature that sends you after the index. :)
If you haven't played this mode, you really are missing out on a pain in the shorts game... :D

Pick up Plasma Rifles as soon as you can, they cut through the enemy shields very quickly, but will still require lots of planning and tactics. :)

. Something I learned was that the shotgun is your best bet against elites.

anyways, yeah, my friends have beaten halo2 on legendary, i don't have halo though, but play it all the time! anyone know the newbie combo? plasma pistol charged up, then immediately switch to battle riffle :)

I love the shotgun when it is available, SMGs are my personal favorite dual wield, and the caribines are nice when you are fighting the brutes, if you get 2-3 headshots off, they will die.:)
The funniest thing I have everheard out of this game:
Grunt: I will love you, I will pet you, I will feed*BAM*... :D
I was laughing so hard after that I couldn't play for an hour... And the BAM is me shooting it with a pistol... >D
Seargent: *Takes Sniper rifle, gives battle rifle* And I thought you were my friend...
This was where you crash on the planet, he gets a sniper, no fair... :(
Anybody else heard anything funny like that?

I couldn't play for a day. It's the only time I have heard anything referred to the outside world, and it was absoultly hilarious.

I sorta agree, but it makes you think, makes you come up with strategies on how to beat that part. If I die alot, I take a break and code something. Then after 2-30 min, I go back to the game. :)

The thing about legendary I hate so much is the snipers, since you can't see everywhere, one can snipe you from anyplace, and you may die ten times just trying to find him...

I've also found that the skulls, even the beneficial ones, don't help me much on Legendary. Countless times, Grunts B-Day Party has blown me up when some shieldless elite tried to sock me, but I shoot it in the head. They're just kinda fun to use on lower levels.

Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to mention this, but we beat halo 2 legendary a few weeks ago, and we used a Banshee to finish it off. >D

Got his shields down, slammed him with the 'missle' that the banshee has, and it took him out after several hits. You would have to watch it though, since the brutes would come out, you could shoot the missle in the middle of them, and they would all jump off of the edge, committing suicide. :lol:

We had spent nearly two weeks tryin to beat him, then said to heck with it and finally went and looked up ways to help defeat him. That was the only level. The rest of it, we did it guns a-blazin. :D

Skulls are fun. Which ones have you guys found?
edit: Halo 2 coop is way too hard for me and my brother. One of us always dies somehow. Then we tried to push Sarge on the first level into the battles to help us fight. We were so close, but then he ran away after the first pelican bay. It was funny though. Then I beat the first half of the game by myself on legendary, got the Envy Skull and the Grunts Birthday Party Skull, made files so I could easily access them, and then me and my brother had a blast blowing up grunts, elites, brutes, the like on easy. It was so fun. Well, not anymore.
