Does anyone know how to get the full version of starcraft on to a flash drive so that you can run it without the CD?
I know this is possible because I have seen some seniors at school have this, they also got out of class and played with each other in the film classroom. (I played two games with them but I died :'(.)

I think they got "Starcraft No Install". Search it 'cause I can't provide a link.

If you know how to play flash games from a flash drive, you could use this: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=arcade;sa=play;game=1 (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=arcade;sa=play;game=1)

there are many no cd cracks for sta craft but we can not link them google starcraft no cd or somthing similar they are very abundent ^^

What you do is either install StarCraft directly on the FlashDrive, or copy your existing installation there; then either apply a no-CD crack, (Google this, since we can't post such material on Omnimaga) or follow the no-CD instructions of the latest patch version. (this is done by copying all the MPQ files to the install directory, so the game doesn't need to access the CD) The latter method would mean a much larger installation, though.
I think StarCraft will still write data to the registry of any computer it's used on. If you're using a custom server list, (e.g., such as iCCup) this might be a problem.

Is there not a version that makes it so you can run it without a CD? (Like a legal version.) I just know they made Frozen Thrones so you could so I thought they would do it with this to, but who knows.

Only the most recent patches of Starcraft can run without a CD. The changelog states how to achieve this. However, I think this require a quite large capacity flash drive

Ah ok.

Thanks, I found the patch and it takes up Approximately 80MB (Game and Patch)

... A very easy place to get one is.. iCCup..
Internet Cyber Cup.. Go to Starcraft and then there should be "how to start playing" button and then downloads somewhere.. i put it on my memory stick and give it to freinds to play on whenever wherever =D so yeah.. its about 70MB or 80MB. also, u can download a private server from iCCup - TheAbyss
EDIT: heres the Link http://www.iccup.com/starcraft/sc_start.html

Really? Thats not bad at all.
-
wait...does this mean that you need the actual CD to play?
-
Not anymore. Even with an old retail version, if you lost your CD you just need to enter your CD key on Battlenet website and they'll let you download a new SC client, that requires no CD to run. Howwever, that client is 1.2 GB large :/
Also there's an Omnimaga Starcraft (and Warcraft II) server hosted by Netham45, but I'm not sure if he wants the link to be public yet, since we don't know how legal it is.
