those graphics rules, if i had the money i would get that quadruple core computer i saw in a dell flyer with a 768 MB nvidia card, 4 GB RAM and 500 GB HDD. the only downside is that it had vista :(sad.gif

never buy a pre-built desktop... ever. You could get such for over $500 cheaper building it yourself. Also, you don't need a 768MB card for hl2... mine's only 320MB and I average 250FPS on hl2 max settings 1680*1050 16xAF 16xQAA so... yeah. hl:ep1 only gets around 180 or so... but it has HDR too. :Ptongue.gif Oblivion still wants more videoram though. <_<dry.gif Bioshock would probably benefit from an even more beefy gpu too. But it's a little overkill for half life methinks, eheh...

haha, it does the same for DOG in the begining of HL2:EP1.

Also, my 7900($120) runs HL2:EP1 full at about 70FPS @ 1600x1200.

got able to run HL2 fine with almost as great graphics quality. Had to reduce res to 640x480 and it ran between 12 and 40 fps depending of where i was on the map, altough it isn't too bad considering I've seen games witth less better graphics run 10x slower (prbly bad coding)
