Well, here's the link: http://tasofro.net/touhou135/index.html

touhou 13.5: Helpless Masquerade
It seems like it's yet another fighting game. :D
-
Yeah I just saw that on Facebook. Kinda weird, just this morning I was on the Touhou Wiki and saw the announcement of Touhou 13 over a year ago, I was like, hey they should make another Touhou by now... And at the same time, they announced it.
Anyway, oh nice a fighting game. (For the incults, the Touhou Project series are usually danmakus (shoot-em-up games), but this one is a official spinoff of Touhou 13 (hence the .5) and spinoffs are usually fighting games.)
-
Lol, I didn't even know Tohou had fighting games. I thought they were all Shoot-em ups.

Not necessarily... There's a couple platformers out there... the only ones that stick out in my mind are MegaMari & Super Marisa Land/World (which I'd recommend all of them, their pretty fun)
Hell, even the Nintendo DS has a couple Touhou games... Rabi Lady 1 & 2 for digital download is an example.
-
But those are fangames, though. (Heck, there's even a Phoenix Wright touhou clone). I'm pretty sure he was talking about official ones. MegaMari is hard as hell for me O.O
-
Most spinoffs are fighting games? I was under the impression the spinoffs were generally the same style of game, but looking at the wiki it appears you are right!
Can't wait for the new music!
-
well usually most fighting games remix older music again and again but we still could expect at least few new musics (and characters.)
-
Yea, I just meant official Touhou games. :)

The first trailer/gameplay video has been released today! :w00t:
It looks (and sounds) great!
The expected demo release date is December 30 at Comiket 83. Definitely looking forward to this!
Edit: Release date was referring to demo version, my bad. Shouldn't have jumped to conclusions based on dates/numbers among moonrunes. :p
-
That does look really nice. It looks like it would play very similarly to the Marvel vs. Capcom series. I wonder what it's being released on/ if it'll make it stateside?
-
It seems like it works kinda similar to SWR or SWRS. But I do love the graphic. :)
-
I'm sorry, but what is SWR? x.x
-
Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. TH10.5
-
Ahh, another Tohou fighting game. That makes sense. :)
-
Seems like demo came out 4 days ago.
Currently it features reimu, marisa, and ichirin.
There are also 2 stages to choose from.
-
There's a new demo, with netplay and a new stage !
(But still only 3 characters)
You can download it on Tasogare frontier official website : http://www.tasofro.net/touhou135/index.html#130412 (http://www.tasofro.net/touhou135/index.html#130412)
So, does anybody want to play ?

I tried it, but unfortunately the graphics doesn't work in Wine. You can't see the background nor the characters, but you could see the HUD.
I still managed to win a game despite seeing absolutely nothing lol.

It's working fine for me with Wine 1.5.7, try updating Wine to a newer development version and update your video card drivers (especially if you have NVidia). The only problem I'm having is the old netplay end bug from Soku, where if you exit a network match, the game freezes and has to be terminated manually (it can sometimes lock up your whole system if it's in full screen, so keep that in mind when playing online).
And yeah, the AI seems to be even more ridiculously easy than it was in Touhou 12.3... :P
Anyway, I'm having quite a lot of fun with the game and, of course, greatly enjoying the few pieces of music it's offering. ^^
Can't wait for the full release!

I have Wine 1.5.26, I should try to update the video drivers.
