Btw, the picture on the game cartridge is different from the U.S. release. See attached image. :)

I don't think the sound gets pitched up since it's handled by a different chip (with its own clock.) This would be why 50 hz and 60 hz games sound the same.

Best video game pickup of mine: Awesomenauts. Give it a try!

It's a side-scroller shooter MOBA. In other words, epic.

Wait: that's not what the topic is about... oops.

Nice that you got Mega Man 2. I actually got Mega Man 3, but others were so expensive.

The music on pal nes is 25% slower and low pitched. The gameplay is also sluggish.

Yesterday I got Mortal Kombat 3 SNES, boxed. The cashier told me it had no manual, but when I arrived home and opened the box there was actually a manual included (although in poor condition). I also got Nino Kuni for the PS3.

Today I went to Quebec City to check two of the game stores I know, but one was closed on Sundays. The other had some new interesting games, but some were expensive, so I picked Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse for the SNES, Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage for the Nintendo 64 and Battletoads for the NES.

A few weeks ago I also got Sonic 3D Blast and Sonic & Knuckles. That last one seems cool because you can put a Sonic 2 or 3 cartridge on top of it for extra goodies.

Yesterday I found my Gamecube in the garage with a dozen of games. I've yet to convince my father to let me plug it in the home theater though (he thinks the quality is too crappy but that's not what I'm after).

I bought pokemon ruby for €0.50 last week. It had no label on it and the battery had to be replaced, but it works.

Battletoads for the NES.
Woohoo that game is epic (though hard) :D

That sounds epic, pictures available?

Yeah it's one heck of a hard game >.<. First stage isn't too hard, though. If I remember, it's the racing stages that are really hard.

As for pics of Sonic/Knuckles:

It doesn't work with the original Sonic game?

It's supposed to, along with Sonic 2.

I know it works with Sonic 2 and Sonic 3. No idea about Sonic 1 though.

You know it's against the forums rules to link to downloadable ROM/warez sites, right? ???

A heart that's full up like a landfill
A job that slowly kills you
Bruises that won't heal

You look so tired unhappy

They don't, they don't speak for us

I'll take a quiet life
A handshake of carbon monoxide

And no alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
Silent, silent

This is my final fit
My final bellyache

With no alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises please

Such a pretty house
And such a pretty garden

No alarms and no surprises
