Those are awesome. I bet it must be ridiculously slow to install games with those, though.

Now imagine having to use floppy disks to install Windows 8 O.O

You don't install games on the c64, you just load them to RAM. And disk drives are the fastest way to do that.

You know what's slow? Loading programs onto a computer via cassette tape. 30 minutes to load up a game.

Lol I've heard of that for the ZX Spectrum. People use mp3 players now and it's much faster as far as I understood.

The mp3 method is also more reliable. My MSX home computer only has a casette drive for input, so I play TAP files directly on my pc soundcard. It takes just as long as with casettes. I could get a cartridge that allows me to hook up CF cards though. I have one battery backed up ram cartridge for the MSX, but I think it does not work with my version of basic.

Does the mp3 thing also work for c64?

Since I'm packing for the move I took a pic of that. Cool that it's still complete in box (yes with manuals) after a decade of owning it. :D

No it does not because the c64 datasette digitizes the sound internally.

Nice :D. I should check if my bro still has his GC box. I know I still have my PS2 box and many manuals, although most inserts and stuff are scattered through my home. I also have a Nintendo 64 box that came with my 2nd SNES 14 years ago, so I should check if it's the Atomic Green one since the N64 I got a few years after is Atomic Green.

I also got Wipeout Pulse for the PSP.

Wait... you'll be homeless from July 17th to August 11th?? O.O Or do you mean you won't be online for that entire period?
