Any way to sync files to my ti84 keypad on my Nspire without using an I/O cable? I only have USB. should I use Device Explorer or Nspire software, and what do I have to do to get it to sync from the Nspire software?
P.S. I'm on a Mac.

USB on the nspire can connect the 84+ Just have it on in 84+ mode, and use TI-Connect or tilp. ti-nspire computer link might work, but I'm not sure.
no need for extra hardware. Ti-Connect is free from education.ti.com
-
it can? are you sure? that's great!!!
ti-nspire computer link probably can't - it's acting like a ti-84... anyway wormyrocks, did your nspire actually come with the keypad? every one seems to have one and i don't!!!
-
I've been using it for a while with tilp......only cable I use nowadays.
If you got a touchpad new, you have to send in a request or something.
-
oh but actually i have a clickpad, bought feb this year!
can i get it for free however, i rang ti a week ago and they mentioned buy or something, so i stopped and thought maybe i shouldnt get one right now because i thought tjat i would have to get another cable but since you said it,,, i might change my mind
-
the free one is only for touchpads, since they don't come with one packaged. For clickpads, you can buy one $10. They used to be $40, so you're in luck!
If they didn't change it, buying one also gets you the computer software, or maybe that's just the touchpads.
-
well that's stupid, mine didn't come with one in the first place, maybe that's why they were about AUD $7 cheaper, but still, full unopened packaging, and not even opened, no one else in my school got another keypad either. at least i think so. $10 is USD right?
what i meant about $7 cheaper is that... $7 cheaper than cas which i orignially bought, however... not allowed in IB exams. so that's possibly why.......

Yeah, the only software you need is TI Connect (or TILP). Be aware of the fact that if your Nspire OS is on 1.1, this won't work, as the PC's drivers will recognize your calc as an 89 Titanium, and thus won't allow you to send any programs to it.

TI Connect or TILP (already got TILP) + keypad = ti84 everything!!!!! well some incompabilities ive heard

TI stopped providing them with the calcs apparently, but if you are lucky, in some stores you can still find some with the 84p keypad included
-
oh so that's why, i bought it this year, so i have to pay an extra $10 damn!!!
for a keypad
-
Tilp can see 1.1, as long as you force it as 84+
No biggie.
-
Really? Nice. I remember TI-Connect saw the calc as a 89 x.x

I don't think you have to pay for the 84 keypad. There is a free offer for it on TIs website if you buy a touchpad one.

Well, I haven't used Ti-Connect for a long time, so I wouldn't know :P
Mine came with OS 1.4 on it, went 2.0, 2.1, 1.0, 1.6. Ndless didn't work well for me :(

At least, for now
